THE WORST

The Greater Power 08-14-2006 07:50 PM

Best
Badder Santa. Easily the funniest movie I've ever seen, however 40 Year Old Virgin may give it a run for it's money. The interactions between Billy Bob and the fat kid are hilarious. The kid should have won an Oscar for that.

Worst
Napoleon Dynamite. I didn't laugh once, and if I did, it was because the movie was a joke. Just really boring and yeah, didn't like it at all.

OssMan 08-14-2006 07:54 PM

The Greater Power, you just said that Badder Santa is the best comedy ever

Fox 08-14-2006 09:16 PM

In all fairness to Greater Power, Badder Santa is pretty fucking funny.

Kapoutman 08-14-2006 09:57 PM

Best: Ghostbusters. Bill Murray has awesome one-liners and the interaction between the Ghostbusters is always pure gold.

Worst: Jury Duty. I saw more Pauly Shore movies than anybody should, but this was the worst of the bunch.

I completely agree with you. I'd also throw in that the movie tries too hard to be a parody of itself, making it even less funny than it could have been. (Not saying it would have actually been "funny", though.)

Skippord 08-15-2006 04:25 AM

Best: Wrongfully Accused,BASEketball

Worst: Napolean Dynamite I wanted to beat John Heder to death with his own hand

I'm still not entirely sure Jury Duty was a comedy. I think it was Pauly Shore's first (albeit unsucessful) venture into dramatic acting.

Bad Company 08-15-2006 06:10 AM

Best? Caddyshack
Worst? The Big Lebowski. OK its not the worst, but I dont like it.

DRBailey 08-15-2006 07:39 AM

Best: Blue Juice , well at the mo it's my favourtie film..

Worst: Gonna agree with Napoleon Dynamite, and to think somehow it's a uni student's wet-dream here? Don't see it...

As for Pauly Shore? See In The rmy Now, not a bad film at alll...just your normal Shore fare...

FakeLaser 08-16-2006 05:21 PM

Pauly Shore sucks in general, pretty much.

Skippord 08-16-2006 08:34 PM

Pauly Shore Is Dead is a pretty good movie

Savio 08-16-2006 08:48 PM

Best: Team America

Worst: Nopoleon dynamite

ClockShot 08-16-2006 09:39 PM

Best Comedy: Caddyshack

Worst Comedy: Napoleon Dynamite

el fregadero 08-16-2006 11:42 PM

Okay guys, I get that it is cool to hate on Napoleon Dynamite now, but it is far from the worst comedy ever.

Pinnacle Charisma 08-17-2006 07:23 AM

Best - Old School. I dont know there may be other funnier comedies but I can really relate to this even thought im about 10-15 years younger than the main characters. Its just a real guys comedy and Will Ferrall is gold in this.

Worst - Any Aussie comedy expect for the Castle. And this includeds WogBoy, that lawn bowl comedy with Mick Malloy, that one with the gold nugget staring Eric Bana and Stephen Curry I think, that gay one with Paul Hogan and countless others.

#1-norm-fan 08-17-2006 08:35 PM

Best - Naked Gun, The Jerk, Groundhog Day, Anchorman, and Office Space are probably the best comedies I've ever seen. Also... BASEketball is a great movie to watch with a big group of people.

Worst - Going Overboard... by far. With Scary Movie parts 1 through 18,492 being second.

Splaya 08-21-2006 06:57 PM

I cannot believe anyone mentioned my best movie

Best- Dumb and Dumber. Are you people kidding me? You can think up all of the other movies but you forget this one.

Worst- Scary movie 3

Yeah, Dumb and Dumber is definately on the list.

Scary Movie 3, though? As horrible as it was, I found it quite alot better than the first 2.

Dave Youell 08-24-2006 08:57 AM

Office Space, that film is great and working in an office I can totally relate to it
Python and the Holy Grail is funniest film ever made

Worst:

Junior
White Chicks

Nark Order 08-24-2006 07:01 PM

I was just about to say something about Dumb & Dumber. Honestly, those guys had unparalelled chemistry with each other. It's such a cliche pick for best comedy amongst people of my generation but it is for a reason. One of those movies that I know every single line to but still laugh my ass off every time I see it.

FakeLaser 08-24-2006 07:17 PM

lol, Junior. Best idea ever.

MVP 08-24-2006 08:47 PM

Best: Clerks, no other movie has made me LMAO from beginning to end. There's just nothing that beats the dialogue between Dante and Randall through out the whole movie, and everything else that happens in between.

Worst: Bio Dome, Pauly Shore...enough said

Crippla 08-24-2006 08:49 PM

BlackRavyyn 09-03-2006 12:47 AM

Best - Clerks

Worst - Freddy Got Fingered. I mean, if anyone thinks Napoleon Dynamite is bad has not seen Tom Green try to blow a horse...nuff said

John la Rock 09-03-2006 02:08 AM

Best - Office Space...........yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh

Worst - Scary Movie 1-4

The Naitch 09-03-2006 02:31 PM

Best- Office Space

Worst- Napoleon Dynamite

Champion of Europa 09-04-2006 11:15 AM

Best - The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Worst - Date Movie.

I'll have to agree with this I love Office Space. There are others I would probably say are the best too but I can't think of them and Napoleon Dynamite was the stupidest shit I ever saw. My ex-girlfriend liked it for some reason and I just don't understand why she thinks its funny.

CSL 09-04-2006 11:40 AM

Best - Airheads (Sandler and Buscemi. Joe Mantegna. Chris Farley. Lemmy. White Zombie. Awesome soundtrack. Need I say more?)

Worst - Team America (I fucking hate puppets with a passion. They scare the shit out of me. Some of the songs were funny though)

Mr. Nerfect 09-04-2006 04:39 PM

Best - National Lampoon's Loaded Weapon 1. There are some great comedies out there, and I'm dying to watch Office Space, but NLLW1 has a soft-spot in my heart.

Worst - Cannot think of the absolute worst off the top of my head, but Napoleon Dynamite is easily the most overrated. I watched that shit expecting some kind of smart comedy, but what I got was a movie that thought it was so clever, yet was so fucking obvious it made me hate my peers for liking it. Never have I felt so alone. I laughed once, and that was when Kip did the leg sweep, the guy jumped over him and slapped him over the head. Ha! That was it. :|

Mr. Nerfect 09-04-2006 04:39 PM

I've heard shit things about Date Movie, but I have not been stupid enough to see it, though.

Bad Company 09-04-2006 11:54 PM

Date movie was so terrible I switched off after about 20mins.

For me, this movie started off really strong, but then about half way through, it started to loose the funny, the same way most comedies do after about 20 or 30 minutes.

KillerWolf 09-06-2006 06:29 PM

For me, good comedies are comedies that are funny throughout. When it comes to comedy I dont care about the message. Bad comedies, IMO, are ones where you get a few laughs in the begining of the film, but then the movie gets caught up in trying to convey a positive message or tug at your heart strings. Other comedies that I do not enjoy are those where the entire storyline, particularly the end are so utterly predictable (Shallow Hal) that there isnt much point in watching. So having said that...

Some Good Ones
Dumb and Dumber
Napolean Dynamite
Me, Myself, and Irene
Office Space
Starsky and Hutch

Some Bad Ones

10 Things I Hate About You
The Wedding Singer
Big Daddy
Billy Madison
Shallow Hal
Never Been Kissed
Pretty much anything with any combination of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, or Rob Shnieder

Loose Cannon 09-06-2006 08:23 PM

Best: Dumb and Dumber

Worst: Schindlers List

Best: Office Space

Worst: Freddy Got Fingered

road doggy dogg 09-19-2006 02:10 AM

oh my godddddddd agree with Freddy Got Fingered. I've always hated Tom Green and that was like the epitome of why

Best would probably have to be Anchorman though, love that movie so much. Maybe Talladega Nights once I see it a few more times, but dunno. Will Ferrell is golden in everything he does, I don't care what faggots on the internet think
