Worst Weapon botch of all time.

So have you watched a match with a weapon spot and it looked like utter shit? I can vaguly remember a few. I've seen Kevin Nash and Hulk Hogan swing a chair with ZERO force and "knock" the guy out. One botched spot that stands out is Hacksaw Jim Duggan in WCW hitting a guy with his 2x4 and it bent. Like come on. It didn't break like styrofoam or anything, it must of been plastic by how easily it bent. I think he immediately threw it down because he knew it must of looked really stupid. I think I've even seen tables break without anybody really touching them.

Londoner 08-16-2006 06:36 PM

I'm sure there are some but i'm struggling to think of them at the moment.

Mr. JL 08-16-2006 07:25 PM

The Van Airanator on Angle a week ago rings a bell.

Plus any time Lance Storm goes to hit some1 with a chair.

OverTaker 08-16-2006 07:29 PM

A title belt isn't really a weapon.

Xero 08-16-2006 07:31 PM

Not really a botch, but on one of the matches on Foley's DVD (may have been a Fans Bring the Weapons match) someone gave him this thing that looked like a screen for a window. I believe Foley took it, looked at it, and said "What the fuck is this!?" and threw it down.

OverTaker 08-16-2006 07:34 PM

That was hilarious

Hanso Amore 08-16-2006 07:36 PM

One time in WCW, Nash was working over someone with a "bat", I wanna say terry funk. he hit him baseball style in the head, very very very weakly, and it was obvious that it was a rubber bat, kind of liek duggans 2x4

Also, who can forget the flaming chair that fell apart and landed on Funk and a fan!

The Show Off 08-16-2006 07:45 PM

Edge v. Matt Hardy, Ladder Match at Homecomming. Matt Hardy is about to get the Money in the Bank breifcase and Lita is suppose to nail him with a kendo stick and knock him off, she swings and misses horrible. Then she "recovers" and hits Matt with it finally. That was pretty sad.

mrslackalack 08-16-2006 10:54 PM

Storms chairshot on RVD at Barely Legal 97.

Afterlife 08-16-2006 11:02 PM

Taker vs. Flair at Mania. Taker had a pipe, swung it at Flair's head...a foot away. Flair gets all loopy and falls down, rolls over, and sits up, suddenly bleeding. Taken then made a few legit cracks with it, but the first "hit" was completely non-existant.

The One 08-16-2006 11:10 PM

The Rock hitting himself in the head with a chair after swinging and hitting the ropes was classic...it was planned, but still a planned botch is...uh...nevermind.

Londoner 08-16-2006 11:56 PM

Angle has done that a few times aswell, The One.

I remember one time between Cena and Edge when Edge went to hit Cena with the belt, don't remember much of it(cause it probably was that bad) but i remember how they botched the "blood"(would do the shifty smiley but can't be bothered) dripping out of Cena's face.

Volare 08-17-2006 01:09 AM

seen this at a indy show in minnesota.

guy's supposed to hit someone else with a road sign, sign slipped out of his hands and the other person started to bleed.

You Fucked Up chants for about 10 minutes.

HeartBreakMan2k 08-17-2006 01:12 AM

I love this guy, and he's one of the best in the business, but Lance Storm, Barely Legal 97 :nono:

dablackguy 08-17-2006 02:04 AM

Hogan Warrior in WCW when Hogan tried to 'burn' warrior

haha the crowd's reaction to it was awesome

BatistaBombed! 08-17-2006 11:24 AM

at wrestlemania 17 stone cold steve austin fought the rock and austin went to hit the rock with a TV monitor but the wire wasn't long enough and it missed rock's head by a long way

FourFifty 08-17-2006 12:53 PM

Hogan vs Warrior in WCW, when the flash paper messed up. There is no way to save the match after that.

El Fangel 08-17-2006 01:04 PM

I remember seeing an Indy match where I live. This guys swings a chair and hits a guy, the guy was ducking and it hit him side the head, and he started to bleed, the match slowed down instigating a mistake. And both were like what do we do?

Chavo Classic 08-17-2006 04:05 PM

I hear Lance Storm twice... does anyone want to post a video?

Anybody Thrilla 08-17-2006 04:10 PM

Lance Storm wasn't so much a botch as it was a VERY weak looking chairshot.

Rammsteinmad 08-17-2006 04:14 PM

Anyone got a video of the Lance Storm botch?

Anybody Thrilla 08-17-2006 04:22 PM

It was in a match versus Rob Van Dam at ECW's first PPV, Barely Legal. Just do some searching.

Stickman 08-17-2006 04:23 PM

does anybody have any videos of weaponbotches?

Chavo Classic 08-17-2006 04:24 PM

Thrilla, look at me. Do I look like I am that proactive?

Anybody Thrilla 08-17-2006 04:41 PM

You were proactive enough to make a sock account and con the masses, so yeah, maybe so.

Arnold HamNegger 08-17-2006 05:06 PM

Van Dam hitting himself in the head monkey flipping the ladder Tuesday was pretty funny.

Anybody Thrilla 08-17-2006 05:08 PM

I dunno if that was a botch or not. If he practiced that, he would've had to have known it was gonna happen.

Arnold HamNegger 08-17-2006 05:13 PM

Well, it looked like one of his feet slipped because he only flipped it with one leg. Maybe two legs would have prevented the concussion?

Anybody Thrilla 08-17-2006 07:07 PM

He got a concussion?

Arnold HamNegger 08-17-2006 07:39 PM

Well, not literally...although I wouldn't be suprised. The replay showed that he really drilled himself.

NeanderCarl 08-17-2006 08:02 PM

When Hardcore Holly broke a candy jar over the Big Bossman's head, and it all went in his eye. It looked pretty sick.

Arnold HamNegger 08-17-2006 08:11 PM

If I remember correctly, there was a recent match in TNA between Raven and JJ that went to the concession stand and Raven squirted JJ with ketchup and mustard. That even got some boo's from the TNA crowd.

redoneja 08-17-2006 08:53 PM

Not a botch, but in one of Foley's books he's writing about his Empty Arena match with The Rock and says how when the rock hit him with bags of popcorn, he sold them like sledgehammer shots. Or something to that extent. I can't be arsed to look up the exact quote.

DS 08-17-2006 09:53 PM

I remember when Foley used basketballs as weapons. Also, near the end of WCW there was a match that went backstage (can't remember who was in it) where one of the wrestlers grabbed a computer monitor that was clearly "on" through the whole thing but had no wires connected to it.

Anybody Thrilla 08-17-2006 09:56 PM

Remember when Al Snow used to roll bowling balls into peoples nuts?

OverTaker 08-17-2006 10:11 PM

Yeah, and one time he used some salad tongs. That was an embarresing moment for Droz.

hb2k 08-17-2006 10:20 PM

Survivor Series 98 - Deadly Game. The finish of Mankind Vs. Austin convinced me that Gerald Brisco should be shot.

I think that was when he and Owen were trying to pop Austin at ringside

redoneja 08-18-2006 12:43 AM

I think you're right.
