Annoying ass XP problem
 

For some reason all my menus are showing up invisible. Like I'll right click on anything and all I can see is the shadow of the menu, then when I mouseover the menu I can see each option. But when I first open any menu (desktop right click, internet explorer->file etc) everything is invisible until I mouseover. Now I could just deal with this shit but if there's a genius out there who could help me out and fix this idiotic problem then I would be forever grateful. greatful? grateful? yeah whatever that word is

Maybe something with the display settings?

Control Panel > Display > Appearance.....

Check some of the settings there maybe? Or you could try a system restore maybe?

i restarted and i think its fine... weird because I did that before and it didn't work

Yeah that happens to me every so often. A restart usually fixes it. Not sure what the problem is but it doesn't frequently happen so I don't worry too much about it.
