Unforgiven Main Event (Spoilers)...

A friend of mine saw a preview for Unforgiven that was already promoting the main event. Here it is... ready for it? Sitting down? Ready to be shocked?

Cena vs. Edge

I... CAN'T... WAIT. :shifty:

On the plus side, it will be a TLC match so it should be pretty good. I'm just pissed that they used SummerSlam (The 2nd biggest show of the year) to push the main event of a crappy brand-specific PPV.

The 23rd time is the charm.

I'm not pissed... I'll be going :p

I'd be excited if it was anyone else, but Cena seriously just fucking sucks all the life out of any and every match. He's slow, his selling is ridiculous, and he has no creativity in his style at all. Edge, while a master at TLC matches, may not be able to carry Cena to a passable main event.

But oh well. DX will probably be in the last match anyways.

They should throw Jeff in their and make it a triple threat TLC match. That'd be hot.

#1-norm-fan 08-25-2006 11:13 PM

Putting Jeff in would be pretty sweet but unfortunately it would take too much away from the Cena-Edge storyline so I doubt it would happen.

As far as Edge probably not being able to carry Cena, I don't remember how everyone else felt about this but I thought Cena vs. JBL at Backlash 2005 was GREAT so it's far from impossible.

Just a slight correction as it was Judgment Day 2005, not Backlash, but I agree as it was a very good match, which leads me to believe that this match can surprise many people and will turn out to be very good. Cena can be in his element in these hardcore type matches. As not only was his match with JBL very good, but also a forgotton match was his Latino Street Fight match with Eddy back in 2003 on Smackdown.

Team Sheep 08-25-2006 11:50 PM

The Summerslam match was superb IMO.

HOORAY

Mr. Nerfect 08-26-2006 04:02 AM

They'll probably add Jeff Hardy. I would love to see Carlito in there, but he's probably going to be tied up with Orton. They could throw sick guys in there, making it a kind of like a Money in the Bank Ladder Match, only with the WWE Championship actually on the line. Who else would be in it? Ric Flair?

I'd rather see the actual "TLC" stipulation saved for the WWE Tag Team Championship on SmackDown!. Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. The Pit Bulls vs. Idol Stevens & KC James. Stevens & James seem like outcasts in the match, but Stevens can be a crazy bastard, apparently, and James can kind of be an anchor (like the Dudley Boyz in the earlier TLC Matches).

That's great. I was always under the impression I was the only one that liked this match.

Y'know, if this was a TLC match it would be awesome. We already know that Edge can do it, and we've seen that even if Cena sucks he can still go in a hardcore type environment. Cena VS Edge in a TLC would be a good (And hopefully the last) match.

Rammsteinmad 08-26-2006 07:18 AM

That is... if Edge can even make it to Unforgiven. That throw off a one-foot pier was pretty bad. I hope he's alright.

Well, you know how wrestling exaggerates. NExt week it'll be a shocking drop from 5 feet. Then 15. Then 25.

By the Raw Recap in December, it'll be a 500,000 foot F-U from the top of Mount Everest Straiight into the Marianas Trench. Edge will still only have a bandaid on his forehead for his troubles though.

Royal Rumble is the 2nd biggest show of the year.

#1-norm-fan 08-26-2006 07:33 PM

Nah. Rumble is, IMO, usually the 2nd BEST show of the year but it still is only used to set-up Mania really.

I'm honestly amazed he is alive

My thoughts on this...

It's not really much of a "Spoiler", we all kinda saw the rematch coming as soon as SSlam was over, but I mean c'mon, a friggin TLC match? We all know who has more experience in that kind of match, BUT I think Cena is going to score the ultimate Coup d'etat win he WINS BACK his 3rd WWE Title in Edge's hometown of Toronto, ON, CA (P.S.--Thank god Xtian won't be around to f*** things up since he's in TNA, for those who don't watch TNA).

Did...did you just call the Captain a fuck up?

mrslackalack 08-28-2006 03:59 PM

Anyone who leaves WWE when they know they're headed for a push towards their 1st WWE Championship is a major "fuck up" in my book.

Christian was in line for his first WWE championship? Don't think so. He started a minifeud with Cena, the WWE champion at the time, but than during the draft lottery got switched to Smackdown after his triple threat title match against Cena and Jericho. But then on Smackdown his push was pretty much stopped completly, which is one of the reasons he wanted out, if I'm not mistaken. He did not "fuck up" his push towards a world title.

I agree, anyone who would pull such an idiot move should be classified as a Fuck Up. And if Christian had done that, then your thots would be relevant. But since he was sent to a screeching halt after his one Triple Threat title shot, he was still only allowed to fly coach after 8 loyal years, AND they forced everyone to stop calling him "Captain Charisma" because he was developing a fanbase that Vince didn't like....Christian decided he didn't like it anymore, either. So, basically, you're wrong.

Does this qualify you as a Fuck up?
