Is Smackdown cursed?
 

I've made it obvious that I hate Smackdown, I wont' watch it and I just can't. It's terrible. I cannot for the life of me find a reason to watch it. The Undertaker is their big guy who if he jobs will give the rub to new talent like if he jobbed to Orton at Wrestlemania. BUT, since it's Smackdown nobody would care who beat him because he's basically nonexistant. Nobody will get over if they're on Smackdown, even if say HHH and HBK went there there would still be no reason to watch.


I'm done my weekly smackdown trashing.

SmackDown! does suck.

I don't think you guys are watching it right. You should try and "SMACK your tv".

I don't know. Smackdown doesn't waste my time with lame ass legends who should have retired 30 years ago.

Tatanka? UnderTaker?

SmackDown! has the same exact thing like 3 weeks in a row and is even more predictable than Raw. Raw is now much better especially with no Hogan or diva search contest.

Undertaker's wrestled like once on Smackdown in the last 6 months. Tatanka's put on some of the ebst wrestling matches on either brand.

Smackdown is cursed......but is RAW any different?
 

I DO think Smackdown is cursed for the following reason:

Due to politics within the WWE, Smackdown will ALWAYS be a show that's destined to be underdeveloped....and its a shame.

The WWE have made no secret that RAW is their "preferred" show and so whenever a new star is being created on SD, they ultimately get shipped to RAW.


I personally like Smackdown right now. Is the show very underdeveloped right now? Yes. Does it have the potential to be pretty decent 6 months from now? YES.

The sad thing however, is it's just that. Potential. As we've seen with Carlitto, Benjamin, etc., etc., the rising stars of SD will almost always be shipped to RAW.


So in short. Yes. Smackdown *IS* cursed.


However.........RAW is cursed as well.


The WORST/DUMBEST thing the WWE have done that last few years, is take promising talent from Smackdown........only to have them STAGNATE on RAW.


RAW is cursed because no one ever moves up on the card (and if someone does, it's very rare....and often, for a very short time).


-Benjamin is still at the IC level.
-CCC is basically the modern version of Christian


What's worse is that RAW doesn't really have any NEW guys that have the fans talking (other than Umaga....who has zero drawing ability).





Smackdown may be cursed, but RAW is cursed as well.

As shitty as the feud may be, at least they do new stuff with the Cena/Edge fued unlike the U.S. and World Title programs on SmackDown! The thing on Raw that is getting old is DX but now they are even adding to that and when I say SmackDown! is more predictible, I mean you can tell every week exactly where the fued is going next.

I think the way SmackDown! is seen by most is what they should just fully make it anyway. All the young talent and up-and-comers go to SmackDown! and almost graduate, like once you've been champion and shown dominance - go to RAW. I know it probably sounds stupid but its sorta viewed in that kinda light anyway, so why not go the whole way with it.

Yeah, I gotta agree. DX/McMahon has been the same thing for months. Edge/Cena has been the same thing for months. 3 weeks in a row seems small compared to that.

Think of it this way, has anything good ever originated on UPN?

I honestly wish they'd just kill the roster split.

The only UPN shows I can name other than Smackdown are Everybody Hates Chris and Enterprise.

Obviously, I'd be hard-pressed to argue.
