Steve Irwin dies
Steve Irwin died in a freak accident. I can't find a web page about it but it was just on the news. Apparantly he was stung in the chest by a sting ray or something.
R.I.P. Steve |
WELCOME TO FIFTEEN MINUTES AGO.
|
I just saw.
|
yeah way to go Drakful.
Intentional misspelling. Infact I am already over this thanks to your inferior behavior. |
Crikey!
|
Well, Stingrays tend to be passive for the most part, but when agitated, they will attack with their stinger. (I knew watching Animal Planet would come in handy one of these days.) That means, he was being a dumbass, as usual.
I hate to say it like that, it's a shame that he had to go, but he probably deserved it. |
Yeah, that sucks. :(
He was a bit of a knob some of the time but he was genuinely concerned about environmental issues and stuff, and was a good ambassador for his cause, for the most part. You know, except for the time he taunted an angry stingray and it wound up stabbing him in the chest six times. |

LOL

This is the worst day ever.
Never gonna get over this |
Sad. But...
...Oddly eventual..? Like reading a story about Jackie Chan dying trying a stunt (back when he did it alot). R.I.P. Atleast it wasn't a gator. |
More like reading Jackie Chan died riding a bicycle. You like "what? after all that?"
|
I know what not to swim around. If the Crocodile Hunter got took out by a fuckin stingray, I'm straight.
|
Not to sound morbid, but somewhere there is a video of this...
|
wOw.
|
This was the first thing I heard when I just got out of bed. I'm surprised crew over at animalplanet.com hasn't got anything up on the website.
The only thing that bothered me about that guy was that I thought he was a little off upstairs. I'd go find the "feed my baby to the alligator" clip. But now isn't a good time. R.I.P. |
Shame, not that I'm a fan or anything, but he's left a couple of kids (or is it just one?) without a father.

:(

I kind of wish he chose a safer profession. Or handled cute and fuzzy animals....like...uh....wallabies.
|
He was a likable guy, annoying at times but likable.

Upon Re-reading my post, yeah. It came off as a bit too harsh, which was not the intention. I truly do feel for his wife and his kids. I think it's a shame that their father went out like that. Also, upon more information, the Stingray was agitated, but it was actually pretty benign compared to the basic stereotype for Steve Irwin, the "This is a highly angry Croc right here, let me stick my finger up his bum and see what he does. Crikey!" He simply got too close to it, end of story. What's the saying about one who Assumes? Ah yes, it makes an Ass out of U and Me. As it goes, it's a shame that he went out like that, but it was almost expected. |
