Spider-Man 4?

More Spidey To Come

Kevin Feige, the new president of production for Marvel Studios, told MTV.com that the upcoming third Spider-Man film won't be the last in the hit franchise.

"There will be many more Spider-Man films to come," Feige promised the site. "We already have stacks of ideas for the next one because of the wealth of stories in the comics. We could be making Spider-Man movies for the next 20 years, based on the 50 years of Spider-Man history we have."

Rumors have circulated that the third movie from director Sam Raimi would be the last. It's unclear whether Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire and his other castmates would sign on for further installments beyond Spider-Man 3.

"When you're concentrating on one movie at a time, there's a beginning and a middle and an end to that process," Feige said. "We've been topping each one as they go, [and if that happens again,] that's the time for those discussions." Spider-Man 3 will open next May.

Spider Man 4 in the works.

Villainwise, we got Green Goblin, Dr. Octopus, and soon to be Venom and Sandman out of the way.

They can use:
Hydro-Man
Shocker
Electro
Rhino
Lizard
Green Goblin(Harry Osbourne)
Hobgoblin
Carnage

The list of villians can go on and on, amd intertwine with others heroes from the Marvel Universe. I can picture a Spider-Man 4.

Blitz 09-04-2006 08:03 PM

Pretty sure they won't blow off Venom after one movie.

YOUR Hero 09-04-2006 08:16 PM

If I were Toby McGuire, I don't know if I'd go past movie #3. I do believe that being the case, the franchise should still go on without him. There must be a proper, a successful way for them to change the Peter Parker character that is realistic.

KingofOldSchool 09-04-2006 08:18 PM

I want to see a side story with Sin-Eater.

Downunder 09-05-2006 01:29 AM

The first one was shit, the second one was just as bad, why the hell would they keep making crap for the next 20 years.

Fignuts 09-05-2006 01:31 AM

Downunder is fucking certifiably infuckingsane.

How the hell were those movies shit?

Fignuts 09-05-2006 01:33 AM

Tbh, spider-man has a pretty deep rogues gallery, but once you get past those first few they are all pretty much c-list villains, and guys who are generally rather uninteresting. Only ones that interest me on that list are Mysterio and the Lizard.

On the other hand, since we know HArry's the Goblin in this movie, there's a decent chance we can write him off.

Kalyx triaD 09-05-2006 11:46 AM

Wanna bet Elektro and Shocker end up in the same movie down the line?

Destor 09-05-2006 12:05 PM

Wanna bet the don't do shocker?

Kalyx triaD 09-05-2006 12:22 PM

He can be the comedic Ultimate version while keeping the 616 Elektro. Sounds like now.

Destor 09-05-2006 12:28 PM

But they wont do it. No main event drawing power between the two. Now if you mean there could be another villian then MAYBE.

samichna 09-05-2006 12:40 PM

Main event drawing power?

Get the fuck outta here.

Destor 09-05-2006 12:41 PM

Turn of phase

Rammsteinmad 09-05-2006 01:07 PM

The Jackal. The Clone Saga.

Shaggy 09-05-2006 02:43 PM

I wanna see Shocker...he was my favorite from the TV series

Raimi wants to do the Sinister 6. Bet on both of them coming in.

The Jackal would be awesome. The Clone Saga? Not so sure.

Destor 09-05-2006 03:16 PM

Shocker was in the origional Sinister Six? I thought he was part of the Sinister Seven?

One way I can see that getting pulled off is having May "Mayday" Parker getting convieved in #3 and introducing her in #4. Sorta like a passing of the torch.

Kalyx triaD 09-05-2006 06:26 PM

Spider-Girl... It could pass. But the 'Supergirl' stigma may scare them from an idea like that.

Clone Saga, ha. Imagine it, "Spider-Man: Attack of the Clone".

Or the two existing Spider-Women?

Maybe because of the insane ammount of money they make?

Shaved Monkey 09-06-2006 12:41 AM

I'd still like to see Kraven the Hunter.

Superman was ok for what it was, Batman version 2 was ok for what it was. X-Men are awesome movies - Spiderman movies are just shitty comic book super heros movies. I put them in the same league as Daredevil (one of my all time favourite characters that they totally fucked up), The Phantom and Judge Dredd.

Fignuts 09-07-2006 12:56 AM

Kraven if done properly could be awesome. Same goes for the lizard. Mysterio gives you hundreds of possibilities. Electro is just a guy who can use electricity. If you think about it we've seen similar powers in all kinds of movies for years. Add that the character has zero depth. He's essentially just a bank robber. I can see them throwing him in there in the sinister six movie(if it happens) just to complete the group.

Rammsteinveryperturbed, you should be slapped in the mouth with a cobra for showing excitment for a clone saga movie.

That really doesn't elaborate at all, on your previous statement.

Downunder 09-07-2006 01:33 AM

My point is Figgy, there are super hero movies made that were good, and done well - Spiderman is not one of them.

Destor 09-07-2006 01:52 AM

My point: Hollywood could give two shits about qaulity as long as it draws.

I take it you never read any of the clone saga stuff then? That was some really great exciting stuff!

I know for a fact that it wouldn't work as a movie, and that The Jackal isn't really a big name, but one can dream right?

No question.

They pander to the lowest common denominator.

As long as Spider-Man is a box officer smash, then it doens't matter if you like it.

I understand that you don't think the movie was done well. Obviously you wouldn't call it shitty if you thought otherwise.

I am wondering WHY you thought it wasn't well done.

Fignuts 09-07-2006 09:36 AM

Rammsteinslightlyannoyed, clearly, I wouldn't suggest such a brutal punishment on someone for suggesting a movie adaptation, without having read the source material first.

I dunno, maybe it's the fact that Spider-Man's a little too CRAAAAAAAAAWLING IIIIIIIIIIIIIIN MY SKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN or something.

YOUR Hero 09-07-2006 08:52 PM

agree to disagree with my Aussie bro', Gareth on this one. I've liked the SpiderMan movies. Not as much as the X-Men movies or that new Batman one, but I was enjoyed them. Funny, I've not seen that new SuperMan one.

MVP 09-07-2006 09:23 PM

Tobey Maguire is pretty much known as the guy who plays Spiderman, why not keep going with it. Pierce Brosnan did like 5 Bond films.
