Listen-To Question...

I have it hooked to Windows Media Player, and all, but, how do I use it? It doesn't show me at Listen-To, and I still don't get this.

Can someone please help..

Kane Knight 02-09-2004 11:15 PM

Listen-To. Yes. The Plug-In thing. Yes. I'm not sure what you mean by WMP though..

el fregadero 02-09-2004 11:30 PM

The plug-in on WMP, which you did.

Um, are you listening to music? :shifty:

I've been through Disturbed, Tantric, Evanescence, KMFDM, Saliva, Crazy Town, and Staind. :-\

el fregadero 02-09-2004 11:52 PM

Hmm. Try logging out and logging back in.

Fryza 02-09-2004 11:56 PM

I needed an "MP3 Tagger." Got one. But, it did no good. I don't know to use it...

Wow, this was a waste of time.. :-\

el fregadero 02-09-2004 11:59 PM

You don't need an MP3 Tagger, just make sure that the "Artist", "Song Title", "Album" and "Genre" categories are filled out.

Cool, they reset all the stats it seems. Anyways, I re-downloaded the plug-in since I have Winamp 5 now, see if it still freezes Winamp on me.

Blink 182 will be on the top of list within the end of the month. :$

Silent 02-12-2004 06:31 PM

Mine hasn't been updating lately..this is a test.

The Outlaw 02-12-2004 06:46 PM

Hey dogg, mind explaining how you get it to work with winamp 5? :$

road doggy dogg 02-12-2004 06:57 PM

I just d/led the Winamp 2 one, and it works fine.

MVP 02-12-2004 07:03 PM

Mine's screwed up to. I can't even find a "plug-in" option on WMP.

The Outlaw 02-12-2004 07:05 PM

:$

Hmm, it wouldn't work with me.

It would goto the window where you select a folder to put it in and wouldn't actually put it in.

I guess Ill try it again.

road doggy dogg 02-12-2004 07:08 PM

Just go to the plug-in section on the site, click the link, click "Open", and then install it to C:\Program Files\Winamp (if that's your Winamp folder), then go to C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plug-in and edit the listento.ini file and put in that really long jarble thing.

Just making sure you're doing it all right

Silent 02-12-2004 07:13 PM

I'm gonna clean up those gray bars in a sec, I just wanted to test that.

The Outlaw 02-12-2004 07:21 PM

Ill be damned.

It works now. :y:

Thanks.

Same here. I honestly don't see why anybody would wanna use anything BUT WinAmp. It kicks major ass!! For some sTrAnGe reason, some people don't like it and refuse to use it. Why, I'll never know.

Silent 02-12-2004 07:37 PM

It doesn't play licensed WMA files, like if you use Napster, so that's annoying.

iTunes for lyf.

road doggy dogg 02-13-2004 05:08 AM

Eh? My Winamp plays WMA files fine. :?:

Silent 02-13-2004 11:13 AM

WMA files off of a CD play fine, but if you get licensed WMAs, like..off Windows Media Player's website, or whatever. Napster too.

It's hard to explain, but when you download a file off of Napster, it's all protected, so you can only play it in WMP or Napster itself, as far as I know. Also you can only burn it in Napster, and sometimes you have to pay extra to do that.

The Outlaw 02-13-2004 03:04 PM

I didn't even know Napster was around anymore.

Napster was the goods back in the day.
