People really hate Jeff Jarrett this much

A fan hopped the railing at the TNA TV tapings last night in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. The fan went after Jeff Jarrett during a taped segment and was quickly taken down by security

Destor 09-05-2006 09:07 PM

Jerret: "Ain't I great?"

Yes Jeff, yes you are.

McLegend 09-05-2006 09:13 PM

PLANT

Crippla 09-05-2006 09:13 PM

Jeff is great though.

Their fans are dumb enough to do this.

Crippla 09-05-2006 09:16 PM

It wasn't a plant. This was actually legit which is why I found it funny.

Steve The Pirate 09-05-2006 09:16 PM

Read the spoilers. It was a plant.

Destor 09-05-2006 09:17 PM

What a shame. Could have been good material. :(

Crippla 09-05-2006 09:19 PM

Oh I see. I didn't read the spoilers yet but I got false information saying it was legit.

This just proves how over he is.

Destor 09-05-2006 09:31 PM

Fans wishing death upon you has been a staple in being an over heel for the past 100 years, no reason for that to change now. Of course as the Original Sheik proved you can be too over as a heel, ultimately it killed his promotion. But damn it he was over.

M-A-G 09-05-2006 09:34 PM

There's a difference between heat for a wrestler and "GOD DAMMIT I'M SICK OF THIS F***ER I WANT TO KILL HIM!!!!". But yeah, it was a plant so no biggie.

Crippla 09-05-2006 09:37 PM

I'm gonna get a lot of cheap heat here by saying I like Jarrett which is actually true.

Destor 09-05-2006 09:38 PM

Thats always been the highest level of heat since the carnie days. There is no difference. One is bad for business, but it remains heat. Just not healthy heat.

M-A-G 09-05-2006 09:39 PM

Like who you want. Just be prepared to back it up.

Me too. He's hurting the company, there's no doubt there, but he is a great heel. Unfortunately in the era of sports entertainment being a truly hated heel is a detriment.

Crippla 09-05-2006 09:40 PM

Well let me say something. Jeff Jarrett has never been that bad a wrestler.

Crippla 09-05-2006 09:41 PM

And he is a great heel too like Dez said but he's doing what Hogan was doing to WCW.

Crippla 09-05-2006 09:43 PM

I still love him though.

Do casual fans even watch TNA? I think to answer to how much of an impact the IWC could make is in TNA's ratings. About 1.0.

Destor 09-05-2006 10:01 PM

No shit. :y:

Crippla 09-05-2006 10:03 PM

I'm starting to like TNA though that's only because I haven't watched it in months and it has that "new" feeling.

He's the only heat TNA's ever seen. How would they know the difference?

So they'd actually end up with negative ratings?

That reminds me of something I was trying to tell my sister. She liked TNA, strictly for the X division, when it first came on the scene and I told her that the spot wrestling will get old when the new car smell wheres off.

Sure enough two months later she's telling me how much she thinks TNA sucks. A spot match here and there is fine for the casual viewer, but it has no substance. Eventually it becomes stale, and quicker than it should. Its a quick fix, nothing more.

TNA's definition of heel is when only half the crowd chants for you.

Yeah thats what I mean. The one match that won't get stale though is that World Cup Battle Royal that Petey Williams won. I also like Kevin Nash, he makes the X Division great.

Destor 09-05-2006 10:18 PM

But you only see it once a year. If you saw the RR weekly it'd get boring too.

Crippla 09-05-2006 10:23 PM

That's true but I love the RR. I do watch old Royal Rumbles until I get sick of it too.

It always confuses me, because I see that Brown is supposed to be a heel, but he's still almost universally cheered. The only way you can get booed is by being jarrett or being the guy who screws his opponent out of the title, and the formers's X-Pac heat, and the latter only lasts until the start of the next show you appear on without Jarrett in the shot.

They can't even get team Canada all that over as heels. Partially because it's just a hsittier version of Canadian stables from the past, partially because it's TNA and they have fans who would cheer someone changing the lights.

Hell, when they do HIAC 4 PPVs in a year, it gets old.

YOUR Hero 09-05-2006 11:51 PM

I think Jarrett's alright. I don't follow TNA but I've heard he monopolizes that show. Well good for them for doing this. A newer promotion should have a steady top guy be it heel or face.

I agree to a degree. People dislike Jarrett to the point they wont watch the show because he's on it, he's reached dangerous heel heat territory.

YOUR Hero 09-06-2006 12:20 AM

I think a few internet dudes ain't gonna sway these guys

Destor 09-06-2006 12:21 AM

They only have the few Internet dudes. Thats no joke. They have drawn about a .8 since their debut. A few spikes here and there. Their audience is the Internet audience.

Destor 09-06-2006 12:23 AM

Again big Jarrett fan, but the same thing happend to the original Sheik. History will repeat itself if they don't learn from it.

So fucking true. TNA is essentially there because smarks want to stick it to Vince.

Honestly, I'd love an alternative. I just don't think TNA is good enough. When the top heel makes me want to turn off the TV, I can't help but wonder how good the product is.
