Who has the best punch?

Going through all my old wrestling tapes, I couldn't help but notice how badass Bret Hart's punches were.

So who do you think has the best looking punch?

Petethegeekstreet 09-09-2006 07:21 PM

All time: Terry Funk

Currently: Chuck Palumbo

Both lefties

Jordan 09-09-2006 07:38 PM

Undertaker

Jordan 09-09-2006 07:39 PM

Or Diesel, his punch was equal to any move anyone else could do... cause he couldn't do any.

Tb1 09-09-2006 09:29 PM

Terry Funk, only because they're real.

Skippord 09-09-2006 09:33 PM

Joe Kerr 09-09-2006 10:55 PM

Undertaker, I like his punches, also when he gets someone in the corner and starts hitting the ribs it looks great.

Crippla 09-10-2006 12:00 AM

I can't think of anyone else off the top of my head.

I spoke to Rick Rude about it and he said it was legit.

Terry Funk who was also there said it was legit publically.

If Shawn Michaels told me it was raining I would still go outside and check.

And how exactly would Vince stop Bret from throwing a punch? Only thing he could do was block it and since he got knocked the fuck out, I'm guessing he didn't get his hands up in time. Oh and why did Shane McMahon try and jump Bret after he did it?

At the end of the day, the only people who were there and said publically that Vince let Bret hit him are Vince, Shawn and HHH. Nothing funny there.

Fact is if you watched the video after the punch, Vince was wobbling like fuck, he had severe under eye damage and suffered a concussion. He may have let Bret throw one on him, but that one was all it took for Vince to go the fuck down. Even if Vince had not have let Bret punch him, things would have gone badly for him. Earl flew out of the ring, HBK swore he didnt do anything that night in fear of having his ass handed to him..

Yeh, because Michaels has no reason to lie or discredit Bret Hart.

Hey, I like Shawn as much as anyone, but he tried to deny the whole Taker/fist-taping thing ever happened in his book, when Taker in 2002 told the story himself.

The Naitch 09-10-2006 06:43 PM

The Rock hands down

The spit punch owns all

FourFifty 09-10-2006 08:24 PM

Regal, he has The Power Of The Punch

Destor 09-10-2006 08:26 PM

Funk

Destor 09-10-2006 08:26 PM

Or Kerry Von Eric

NoRoolz 09-10-2006 09:09 PM

Punches in wrestling look really shit usually - Cena's especially. Taker, Bret, Austin spring to mind for good punches. Triple H's are alright too.

Just when I go through a not liking the Taker spell, I remember great stuff like this. :y:

Chuck Jones 09-10-2006 09:41 PM

The Rock, Bret Hart, or Terry Funk.

How is Terry Funk not the response for every post in the thread.

The man actually punches people.

Vastardikai 09-11-2006 02:57 AM

I'm surprised nobody said Terry Gordy, in his prime.

Oh, so Terry Funk's punches are real. Well so are Vader's yet no one has brought him up. I don't want to watch a serious punch where someone is seriously hurt afterward. Yea, there has to be at least a modicum of pain with every blow but if I wanted to watch people punch each other I'd watch some boxing.
I'd rather see a softer wrestler throw a stiff looking punch and have someone borderline comically oversell it, instead of someone throw only potatoes.
If you want a stiff punch, watch some boxing. Seriously, everyone who says Terry Funk or anyone else just because they're legit punches, watch some boxing. It's a "sport" where people really punch each other. Real punches mind you. Don't let the big, coshy gloves fool you.

Since wrestling has began it was meant to be percieved as real. Can you really blame a veiwer for wanting it to be real?
