This week's ECW

So it's Sabu vs the Big Show in an "extreme" rules match. Didn't we see this already like 2 weeks ago? Come up with something original. I suspect we see a chair and a table.

A long fued is good.

It's one thing to have a long feud, and another to essentially have the same match three times in the span of four weeks (if that). Feuds can feature a bit of variety in terms of stipulations, situations, and matches. Include more tag matches or have interference sometimes.

They had this (very good) match at SummerSlam, then two weeks ago it was Big Show vs. Sabu in a NON-Extreme rules, now once again it's the two of them, for the title, extreme rules, at ECW's first time in Madison Square Garden...it makes sense they do the biggest match they have had.

Haven't they done all of that? Maybe not the tag match...

Not really. Sure they've had a couple of shows without Sabu vs. Big Show, but not enough to draw it out and make it an interesting feud, to be honest.

Stickman 09-12-2006 03:43 PM

Oh yeah, the match two weeks ago was regular rules that turned into an "extreme rulz" match. God I hate that term.

Shouldn't "extreme rules" insinuate that the rules are stricter than usual, or that breaking them will lead to a more ridiculous punishment than normal? That the rules themselves are EXTREME?

Hanso Amore 09-12-2006 09:57 PM

They need to have an exploding thumbtack balloon match.
