Wolfmother
 

I first heard their single this spring (Woman) and I really liked it. Thier also featured on Madden 07. Anyway, they are very very very good. I just got a hold of the CD and I'm only one track into it but I feel I will like this band for a long time. They are a Zepplin/White Strpies mix and I love it.

I happen to think they are pretty bad.

They're not bad. Haven't heard more than 2 songs really.

I can't stand the singer's voice, is the principla reason for the hate.

Not a huge fan, but I can tolerate them. The lead singer kind of sounds like a douche. If they replaced him, they would be the shizzle. I'm listening to Dimension now, and I feel that I could sing it better than him.

They'll never be Gods in the industry, simply because their style (particularly that of the lead singer) needs you to connect with him to really like their music. Hence, it is impossible to idolise them and for them to reach that true pinnacle.

They are good without being great.

Thier album is good. The first 6 or 7 songs are good but the rest are pure shit. Most of thier hit sounds , Woman, White Unicorn, Minds eye and Joker and the thier not to mention thier other songs on their cd sound alike.

It will be intresting to see if they continue to be succesful in the future after there current album.

Their type of music sucked in the 70's. It sucks now. They're like The Darkness without the obvious satirical shove.

Minds eye is by far thier best song though

If I wanted to listen to a really bad Led Zeppelin, I'd listen to Wolfmother.

Wolfmother is good. It's not their fault they aren't pop-punk/emo/"alternative"/indie and don't sound like most other bands out there. With that said, I actually find it very easy for people not to like them. The singer doesn't exactly have the most welcoming voice, just like Geddy from Rush.

They're gonna need to shake something up. I think they'll be able to pull it off, for at least a little while, or they'll fail continuously for a few years, then make a comeback with the same shit.

I dispise Wolfmother, and anyone who does like them should be dragged out into the street and shot.

Also, Wolfmother (in my opinion) sucks massive donkey balls. They are like Jet, who, in turn, were like derivative watered down '70s grunge rock.

Also, el freg, if not the musicians, who can we hold responsible for the type of music they play?

They're decent but I"M sick of hearing "woman" on the radio over and over...I can't stand listening to the radio sometimes, they always play the same shit.
