Ben Rodrigues 09-17-2006 07:39 PM

I came extremely close to ordering this - but decided not to at the last minute. If anyone can give me a solid reason to get this I'm all ears.

Skippord 09-17-2006 07:44 PM

YOU CAN WATCH CENA WIN THE TITLE AGAIN

ClockShot 09-17-2006 07:45 PM

I hear they tweaked the steel cage.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 07:45 PM

Can soemone post match by match results for this? My bill isn't paid so they wont let me order it. :(

Maluco 09-17-2006 07:50 PM

Honestly, is the first one I am watching in a while, but think Hardy and Nitro will have a decent match, and am looking forward to seeing Orton and Carlito, don't know if it is worth watching just for the two.

I am slightly interested to see what they do with Kane/Umaga, wil be disapointed if they are just feeding him Kane...but can't see anything else realistically.

Will probably go to bed before Cena (UK)

RVDmark 09-17-2006 07:58 PM

is it a 2am start time in the UK?

Maluco 09-17-2006 08:03 PM

1 am start here, and its free, so will see how it goes...

RVDmark 09-17-2006 08:20 PM

So its 20 minutes in and no-one has said a word about it yet?

Is no-one watching?

Skippord 09-17-2006 08:21 PM

Nitro won

Maluco 09-17-2006 08:23 PM

lol, its a long way back for the attitude era...

Really good first match....still has a lot to learn, but Nitro is impoving every week, good Intercontinental Champ, keeping the belt mon him for a good reign is perfect right now. LIked the focus on the knee....don't have that enough in matches anymore, decent match.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 08:24 PM

Welcome to our live coverage of tonight's Unforgiven PPV from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. We're looking for your thoughts on tonight's show, so you can leave a thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs in the middle along with a best and worst match to dave@wrestlingobserver.com.

We're opening the show with Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy for the IC title.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 08:24 PM

We're opening the show with Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy for the IC title. Most of the match was Nitro working on Hardy's left knee. There was a comeback spot where they were having trouble working with each other. Several good near falls at the end. Hardy kicked Nitro into Melina, who fell off the apron and sold her ankle. Hardy got a great near fall with a schoolboy. Melina pulled off her boot and hit Hardy, so Nitro got the pin. Lively crowd. Long opener. Could have been better, but not a bad way to open.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 08:26 PM

Matt Hardy consoled Jeff on losing, only for Lita to show up and tell Matt off and call him a loser.

Kane vs. Umaga is next up.

Maluco 09-17-2006 08:27 PM

UMAGA next...about to see if they have lost faith in him yet, or if Kane is gonna be meaninglessly fed to someone again..its not impressive anymore, last 74 times (inc. Snitsky) killed it.

Maluco 09-17-2006 08:34 PM

Crowd was into last one, and now the pace has really slowed, crowd has died off...

Kane struggling, Umaga running through his 5-6 moves...Kane back with a "flurry" of punches apparently.

Maluco 09-17-2006 08:36 PM

Crowd into Kane's comeback, Umaga loking for his killer thumb special...cowd are into Kane though, will be a pity if he is jobbed out yet again

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 08:39 PM

Double count out brawling to the back finish. Crowd hated the finish, which came across as pretty gutless. Okay match until the finish.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 08:41 PM

Spirit Squad vs. Highlanders are next up.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 08:55 PM

Spirit Squad vs. Highlanders are next up. Spirit Squad retained. Johnny gave Rory a high kick from behind and Mikey pinned him. Mikey & Kenny were the team defending the tag titles and the other three interfered on a few occasions. They probably used this match to tone down the crowd before Hell in a Cell, which is next. Crowd didn't care about this match at all, and we've had two bad matches and one average match thus far.

Hell in a Cell is up now.

Crippla 09-17-2006 09:00 PM

It would be the logical thing for the McMahons and Big Show to win this IMO but the key word is logical and this is WWE.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 09:03 PM

It's completely illogical for the McMahons to win. It achieves nothing.

Crippla 09-17-2006 09:06 PM

I know but this whole fued is illogical, it's only logical because they never get the upper hand. I heard X-Pac might possibly be appearing tonight as well, just a strong rumor though. I doubt he will.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 09:07 PM

If the McMahons win, it negates their entire push. It's a terrible idea.

Crippla 09-17-2006 09:10 PM

I agree but I mean the only reason for the fued was the draw that DX is and it has been all DX so far. Also JR just mentioned this is the 14th Hell in a Cell. If someone can help me list all of them in order, I'll give you green rep even though it doesn't mean much.

Crippla 09-17-2006 09:17 PM

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 09:18 PM

Hell in a Cell is up now. DX won a 25:00 match. It had a big pop at the finish. First, they put Shane's head in a chair and Michaels came off the top rope with an elbow drop. He bit the condom and was bleeding from the mouth. Everyone bled but Show. Finish saw then pants Show and stick Vince's head up his butt crack. Michaels superkicked Vince and HHH hit him with a sledge hammer shot and got the pin. Crowd was hot for the finish but until the last 5:00 it was cold for a Hell in a Cell. Shane did a coast to coast dropkick into a garbage can on HHH, who bladed his ear. The finishing spot got over great. Michaels got some "You screwed Bret" chants early, but he got only light boos from that point on and crowd was with DX.

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 09:36 PM

Lita vs. Trish Stratus for the women's title is up now.

Crippla 09-17-2006 09:50 PM

Trish wins with the Sharpshooter!!!

Petethegeekstreet 09-17-2006 09:52 PM

Lita vs. Trish Stratus for the women's title is up now. Good match. Probably best women's match on PPV in a while because they gave it the time to be. Stratus won in the middle with the sharpshooter. Real big reaction to the finish. Lillian Garcia was crying at the end. Ross & Lawler gave her a standing ovation.
