Stupidest looking thing in wrestling?

Probably the fact that if a given wrestler is a champion he\she ALWAYS has the belt with him no matter where in the arena he\she is, probably get a bathrooom interview sometime and see triple h in the crapper with the belt slung over his shoulder. That bigshow thing with the restraining order is probably a good example of that, both him and lesnar trotting about belts over their shoulder... :wtf:

Kane Knight 02-10-2004 08:58 PM

Over his shoulder?

Hell, it's probably the only thing covering his "man" hood in that interview.

Kane Knight 02-10-2004 09:12 PM

Personally, I think it's more the concept that there are CAMERAS EVERYWHERE!

It's amazing how the cameras capture everything except those things which it advances the plot for them to miss...

Funky Fly 02-10-2004 10:09 PM

I remember one time Eddie Guererro was IC Champ and Grandmaster Sexay was looking at the belt, which was hanging on the wall in the locker room. So they're not always with it.

AareDub 02-10-2004 11:49 PM

No the stupidest thing is not that the cameras are everywhere, its that even thought the cameras are everywhere the characters don't seem to ever know what's going on. Ok, that probably didn't come out right. For example when Trish and Lita talked backstage about their feelings for the guys, Jericho and Christian had no idea that the conversation ever took place. The same thing goes if you switch the positions. Trish didn't know they were talking about her "behind her back" she had to catch them in the act to find out. She aparently couldn't just watch tv.

Splaya 02-11-2004 12:52 AM

big show vs rey mysterio and cole saying he has a chance to win

jessica rocks 02-11-2004 12:58 AM

stupidest thing in wrestling period is Rico. Poor guy got his break and now they are dressing him up like a clown

FourFifty 02-11-2004 01:07 AM

Here's a quick question....
Why do they keep tables and chairs under the ring?

well duh in case someone needs to eat something before the match

Stickman 02-11-2004 01:35 AM

what's the deal with spraying somebody with a fire extinguisher?

Stickman 02-11-2004 01:36 AM

Also, what's the deal with trying to climb out of the cage when it's quicker walking out the door?

Why do they keep a SLEDGEHAMMER under the ring? Rings are assembles with power ratchets and preset riggings, do they think a first-rower is going to get out of hand?

I'm still waiting for the cage match where as soon as the bell rings the participants dash to either side and basically race up and over.

Why do you never see a tag match where at least one member never gets tagged in?

Why do they even let managers et al at ringside? And, has a referee ever successfully foiled manager or cornerman interference?

Why do faces seldom make saves for other faces, but if a heel is in trouble every heel in the locker room comes to his aid?

Why does Ric Flair ever bother to climb the ropes?

Why does someone like Austin or Kane, who doesn't give a crap about winning matches or being a great technical wrestler, attatch so much importance to a title?

Why does someone's music always play five seconds before they make a surprise interference?

Why do they leave the warning stickers on the ladders?

Wrestlemania 6, Demolition beat the Colossal connection and Andre the giant never tagged during the whole match

Sorry

Razor Rybek 02-11-2004 07:24 AM

Why is it that "The Big Show" falls/get knocked over the top rope in almost all his match's, 11 months of the year, yet strangely as Royal Rumble approachs he becomes the hardest man to eliminate?

blake639raw 02-11-2004 07:33 AM

Stupidest looking thing in wrestling?

Triple H - World Heavyweight Champion

Evil Vito 02-11-2004 07:43 AM

<font color=goldenrod>When there is a 20-Man Battle Royal, why is there almost always someone eliminated within the first couple of seconds?

In Battle Royals/Royal Rumbles, why do the announcers give little of a chance to the smaller wrestlers, yet there is almost always at least one small wrestler left in the match towards the end?

Why do referees always believe the heel team when they make an illegal switch behind his back and he assumed that they tagged, yet when the faces make a clean tag behind his back the ref won't allow it?

Why is it when any heel assaults a woman then J.R. calls them sick sons of bitches, yet when Austin gives Stacy a Stunner J.R. doesn't seem to mind?

Why is it that when a ref gets knocked out, another ref only runs out part of the time?</font>

Razor Rybek 02-11-2004 07:46 AM

Why is a steel chair shot less effective in a PPV main event than it is on Raw?

That's a damn good point. With as many times as refs get knocked out and people get screwed, you'd think by now they'd have a standard procedure. That is, of course, if they are trying to appear to be legitime, logical, and whatever.

EXACTLY my thoughts. The cameras can manage to be everywhere they're not needed. :D

And Jericho and Christian have no clue they're on camera when they make the bet.

And people can see the replays, but never rethink the results...

Used to be the rules reuired you to climb out.

Nowadays, they don't.

I'd just bring a cutting torch.

Deceit 02-11-2004 12:27 PM

Why is it that when a ref gets knocked out, another ref only runs out part of the time?

Welp, Austin solved that a couple weeks ago on RAW LOL

Disturbed316 02-11-2004 12:31 PM

Why does the low blow get a DQ on Raw/Smackdown, but not ppv's?

Why did Pete Rose bother wearing that chicken costume at Wrestlemania 15? He still got the crap kicked out of him :-\

Why doesn't Flair wear a bra? If he were a woman they would be covering him up in red X's ala Mae Young at the Rumble :wtf:

Disturbed316 02-11-2004 12:32 PM

Also, Nick Patrick always does the same sell, throw arms up in the air then fall down quivering, everytime he gets hit. WAHTSUPWITDAT!?

KayfabeMan 02-11-2004 01:01 PM

*Why do you never see a tag match where at least one member
never gets tagged in?

The Rock & Mick Foley's Tag Title loss to The Hollys....

*Why do faces seldom make saves for other faces, but if a heel
is in trouble every heel in the locker room comes to his aid?

Because faces play by the rules (unless they're pissed),and believe in "taking it like a man" (not quite ala Pat Patterson)....

*Why does Ric Flair ever bother to climb the ropes?

To prove to the shithead smarks that he still can

*Why does someone like Austin or Kane, who doesn't give a crap
about winning matches or being a great technical wrestler, attatch
so much importance to a title?

So instead of carrying a compact, they can have something shiny
and masculine to check their make-up in....

The other things are the "creative license" that McMahon always
likes to throw around......that,and the mysteries of pro-wrestling;
not all of which were shown on FOX :shifty:

Ricky 02-11-2004 01:11 PM

Why do wrestlers turn up wearing their wrestling tights when they aren't even schedualed to have a match?

DaveBrawl 02-11-2004 01:34 PM

Why does instant replay only work sometimes, but other times even when the ref sees the replay the refs decision is final?

Mister Sinister 02-11-2004 01:35 PM

Why Does Hurricane Have To Carry Around S.H.I.T?

Ricky 02-11-2004 01:37 PM

And why is it that during Kane's matches, the production crew make the lights go out, a weird video to play on the screen, smoke to fill the ring, lighting bolts to hit the ring, and yet "no one knows what is causing these strange occurancies"? Why doesn't someone just go up to the production crew and say "Why did you do that?"

123 kid 02-11-2004 01:59 PM

Gotta agree with the cage thing also nearly everytime someone is "busted open" the blood is exactly the same. Another thing, when someone hits another person with a trashcan it looks a bit lame as the trashcan is blatantly aluminium!

Well, Last Time I checked, All Human Blood was red!

Corkscrewed 02-11-2004 02:45 PM

I thought HHH's was green.

ColdwaVer 02-11-2004 03:14 PM

Funny, I've heard him insist that it's blue. :shifty:

123 kid 02-11-2004 03:39 PM

LOL no I mean it is always the same in the way it runs from the forehead to the chin, how many times do you see someone with just a busted open nose or chin?

I think he meant the way the blood "comes out," so to speak. Not the color, but the appearance is always the same.

Just a guess.
