Boogeyman Released
Sept. 20, 2006

WWE has come to terms on the release of Boogeyman (Marty Wright) as of today 9/20/06. We wish Marty the best in all future endeavors.

Chavo Classic 09-20-2006 05:08 PM

WHAT!!!???

Xero 09-20-2006 05:08 PM

I'm the BOOGEYMAN! And I'm commin' to TNA!

Chavo Classic 09-20-2006 05:09 PM

Awww man, this sucks.

Stickman 09-20-2006 05:11 PM

I thought he was released a long time ago.

McLegend 09-20-2006 05:13 PM

Thank You

Crippla 09-20-2006 05:13 PM

Another example of moronic behavior by the WWE.

I don't mind Boogeyman getting released, but what was the point of building him up so much? Kali, Masters, Nathan Jones, Heidenreich, that one Christian goth guy (he was supposed to feud with Eddie Guerrero, but got released...his last match was against Mysterio...I can't remember his name....starts with an 'M'?)...these are ALL examples of guys who were too green, and were pushed nonetheless. All landed on their ass.

WWE never learn from their mistakes. Fucking morons.

Boondock Saint 09-20-2006 05:16 PM

Oh well.

Masters is still around, don't write him off yet.

If you're refering to Mordecai, he's in ECW as Kevin Thorn and Masters is still around though the WWE doesn't have much faith in him and Khali is under contract but it's only a matter of time before he's gone.

KingofOldSchool 09-20-2006 05:29 PM

:(

I liked the character, he sucked as a wrestler, but he was entertain nonetheless.

Skippord 09-20-2006 05:37 PM

MOTHERFUCKERS

I agree exactly.

DominateR 09-20-2006 05:47 PM

As if SmackDown! wasn't boring ENOUGH without Boogeyman...now there's hardly any reason at all to watch, with the exception of "KENNEDY!", but even he's getting to be kind of lame...his last match, he didn't even stop Tony Chimel from announcing him, just let it go without his classic pre-match spiel, which, for what it is, I think is/was priceless...:nono:

He won't be missed.

well working against booker and jbl helped him out alot 2 good heels.

Caged Heat18 09-20-2006 06:43 PM

They pretty much did all they could with him. He entertained, and had some big time opponents and wins, in JBL and Booker, but really where else can you go with him with that gimmick. Plus, he was not a very good wrestler.

Anybody Thrilla 09-20-2006 07:33 PM

Well at least he gets to leave undefeated, which is more than a lot of people could say.

LK 09-20-2006 07:53 PM

Gutted. Fucking gutted...

To be fair, he was dumped back to OVW with little to no explanation. It might've looked like he was fired.

Kane Knight 09-20-2006 08:14 PM

My only regret is that he was released too late to be exclusded from SVR07.

OverTaker 09-20-2006 08:15 PM

Why is that a regret?

.44 Magdalene 09-20-2006 08:19 PM

Yeah, seriously. His crazy walk is going to be prime CAW material.

But nobody's forcing you to use him!

Savio 09-20-2006 08:58 PM

I am Schoe

ClockShot 09-20-2006 09:14 PM

Dammit. I loved that guy. Gave me a good laugh. :'(

Shadow 09-20-2006 09:37 PM

I'm gonna miss the worms though.

Yes, thank you. Before your insight, I thought WWE and THQ would gang rape me if I didn't play the Boogeyman!

No, it's just a waste of a wrestler slot. Someone good could have gone in there.

Drakul 09-20-2006 10:35 PM

Maybe another Hogan?

Schoenauer 09-20-2006 11:52 PM

That's all we need, an extra Hogan, as if three of him wasn't bad enough.

Mr. Nerfect 09-21-2006 12:06 AM

Thank God! Nothing against Marty Wright, but the character sucked ass.

Maybe someone with talent can take his place?

It was a joke, for those that missed it.
