NFL Overtime
Yeah, they need to do it like College Football. Where 1 team gets the ball at the 30 or 35 yard line and uses all 4 downs to try to get a touchdown or field goal then the other team gets the ball and does the same thing. I mean, you play a 3 hour fucking game and if it's tied, the game is usually decided on the flip of the coin. Whoever wins the coin toss usually wins in sudden death rules because the other team's defense is fucking tired.

The CFL is the same as college. I think it's you start on the 35, and each team gets a shot at it.
Nah I don't think they should change it. Even if you wanna argue that the defense is tired and its not fair etc. I'd say to that to win the game in regulation. Offenses can get tired too. Check the Eagles/Giants game this past week, Amani Toomer needed 4 IV's after the game to recover, so he was just as tired if not more than some defenders. Its just part of the game.
I think the only thing that should be changed is that if no one scores in one period then it's a tie
They should just play 15 minutes and see who has most points at the end of that. No sudden death crap.
The only thing that I dislike is that it is first score wins, so if you are playing say Cincinnati or Indianapolis and they win the kickoff, you don't really have a chance.
I like the idea of playing 10 full minutes and the outcome of that is the final outcome. If they're so gungho of eliminating ties all together. After that initial ten minutes play until somebody scores.
Do Americans have something against ties? They' butchered hockey's overtime, and they seem to hate soccer so is it an American thing that there must be a winner? |

tying is like kissing Gonzo

Yeah I'd just make it so both teams get atleast one possession but I wouldn't do it like the NCAA. I'd still make one team kick off to start overtime etc
Also, yeah tying is a pretty retarded concept to us Americans |
Tying is stupid. What's the point of playing a competitive sport at all if you don't have a winner. I hate ties with a passion.
They should do it in the XFL where instead of flipping a coin in overtime to see who goes first, you have the two fastest players run for the ball.
lol remember when some asshole got injured on the coin toss in XFL. Hilar-i-o
I have no problem with ties whatsoever....except for the playoffs.
