Which do you prefer?

I'm a Pride guy. My fav MMA fighter is in Pride (Mirco Cro Cop), so I follow Pride alot more

I prefer UFc over PRide. I do enjoy Pride though.

Matt Hughes is my my favorite MMA fighter, but I am becomming a big Fedor mark.

I seriously hope Pride goes out of business just so UFC can get all of Pride top Fighters. I would love to see Fedor kill Tim Sylvia.

Pride's fighters are better, pound for pound but I hate how they run their promotion.. Their shit tactics, using UFC to promote themselves on American tv, without having the fight they advertised is just one of the shitty things they've done.. I love guys like Fedor, Rampage Jackson, Gomi, Cro Cop, etc.. I just wish they'd come to the US.. I also wish they'd go to the caged octagon instead of the roped ring.. Get pretty tired of seeing them having to stop fights to reposition etc.. Also, the 10 minute first round is better..

In a perfect world, UFC would buy them out, to become the world's biggest fighting promotion.. They could do weekly live smaller shows on cable, with a big PPV every month..

I also wish UFC would use judges who work for the Nevada state athletic commision.. ld ass men who usually judge boxing.. Most have no clue about ground fighting etc..

I dunno.. I love UFC, but picked Pride..

I won't deny that Pride has the better fighters overall, but I think UFC's top guys like Hughes, Liddel, Tito, Franklin, Gsp, and Penn are just as good as most of the top guys in Pride.

Also the judges do suck in UFC.

For every "dominant" fighter in UFC, there is someone who could beat them in Pride..

So on and so forth.. The reason is, UFC is mostly Americans and Canadians.. Pride gets Europe, Russia, Asia, etc.. Pretty mush the rest of the world against just North America..

Sure Rampage beat Chuck, but now I think it would be completly different.

I will argee with you about Fedor and Cro Cop though

Don't get me wrong, I love UFC and most of their guys.. I just think Pride has a deeper talent pool while UFC is run better as a whole..

Also, if you don't think Rampage could still take him, just put Wanderlei in his place.. Even though I hate him, he is still a beast..

I think Chuck is on a whole other level right now. Especially when it comes to 205 divison.

Unfortuantly, all I get on TV is UFC. I have lately seen more and more of other promotions but they all suck to watch. These kinds of fights should not be in a ring with ropes. UFC is more visually appealling. So to the untrained MMA eye it's definatly UFC. I couldn't tell you anything about the other promotions.

I wouldn't say Pride has better guys than UFC at all. Some rules suit fighters more than others. The round system, ring vs. cage and kicking a ground opponent are all huge factors.

Personally, I wouldn't want to see a guy laying on his back get kicked in the head. I'm not a big fan of muggings and curb stompings.

Rob, what is it, UFC-no head kicks while opponent is on ground but you can elbow, and vice versa in Pride??

I chose PRIDE just because of Fedor and no other reason. Other than him, it'd be UFC. Though the fights are a lot more technical and so forth, but I don't like their "holier than thou" attitude. UFC just tries to put on good shows, PRIDE always seems to have some sort of hidden agenda.

I think Chuck could take Rampage now. I mean you can't say just cuz he lost that one fight doesn't mean he can't take him now, nor does it mean he can't take Wanderlei. I mean, Penn assraped Hughes in their first go, and look what happened this time. At the top level, guys lose, it's just the way it is.

Unless their name is Fedor, then they only know how to win, minus illegal elbows that open cuts.

Fedor also has an awe inspiring Entrance.
