Yankees aquire Kevin Brown

its official now. Weaver for Brown

he's no Pettite and he's a VERY injury prone.

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 04:40 PM

I.E. Curt Schilling

Yashamaga 12-11-2003 04:44 PM

ROTFL

don't ever compare curt schilling to kevin brown, k? :)

Loose Cannon 12-11-2003 04:45 PM

AHHHHHH Mother ******* Son a Bi*** again. NO..... WHY did the Yankees trade for him. Well at least if was for that jackoff Weaver who sucks anyway, so I guess its good. But Brown is injury prone.

****I posted this in the other thread not knowing this one was here

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 04:45 PM

OMG DONT COMPARE ANYONE TO THE RED SOX CAUSE THEYRE THE BEST TEAM EVER!!!! GROW UP YOU DUMB SHIT!

Yashamaga 12-11-2003 04:47 PM

find a quote of me saying that or shut your fuc</>king mouth, retard.

TheJShow 12-11-2003 04:48 PM

Jeff Weaver is a decent pitcher, although if Kevin Brown can regain his stuff then that was an excellent acquisition.

RBM 12-11-2003 04:51 PM

Hahaha. I hope he gets hurt in Spring Training.

Yeah "if" is the question. I don't trust Brown's arm after what happened the last few years with him though. And I think Weaver would be good on teams that aren't that big like the Tigers, Royals, Rays, Brewers. I don't know about him pitching in LA because thats a big city and a playoff contender.

btw, the sox have 2 pitchers that are better than Halladay.

1.Pedro Martinez
2.Curt Schilling
3.Derek Lowe
4.Tim Wakefield
5. not Burkett
6.Scott Williamson
7. B H Kim
8. Mike Timlin
9.Keith Foulke (probably)

that's an amazing staff

Yashamaga 12-11-2003 04:55 PM

in that quote, did I ever say that the Red Sox are the best team in baseball and that no one else has a chance of winning?

they have an amazing staff, it's a fact. That's all I said.

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 04:57 PM

Amazing staff huh
7. B H Kim

there goes that logic

TheJShow 12-11-2003 04:58 PM

Kevin Brown - 441 games started, 72 Complete games, 2264 K's, 197 - 131, 1.21 WHIP, and 3.16 ERA

Curt Schilling - 336 games started, 79 complete games, 2542 K's, 163 - 117, 1.12 WHIP, 3.33 ERA

----

All things considered, except for strikeouts and CG, they're fairly close.

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 04:58 PM

could you also point out two pitchers that are better then Halliday, I can see an arguement with pedro being better then him. If you're talking about shilling being better then him, I think im not alone on this thread that would laugh to your face about that.

BCWWF 12-11-2003 04:58 PM

Hey Yash, I get the same shit. Don't worry about it, they're just jealous

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 05:00 PM

but schilling plays for boston that right there makes him better.

I stick up for Minnesota cause I like them

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 05:01 PM

not to mention they make teams like the yankees, red sox, mets, braves look stupid by having a payroll that is about 70 mil less.

and never minding the fact that Schilling has pitched for:

Phillies - great runs in the early 90's, one of the best teams in baseball

DiamondBacks - won a World Championship

Kevin Brown: Texas and L.A. there's 2 winners for ya :shifty:

Loose Cannon 12-11-2003 05:05 PM

Yes Brown and Schilling are very close in thier carreers. Brown has a slightly better winning % at .601-.582 for Schilling. But if I had to choose between the two this year, I'd take Schilling without even thinking.

I agree completely, just Kevin Brown isn't a slump, he is a decent pitcher (when he wants to be)

I'd pick Halladay over Schilling if I were building a team, just because Schilling's old and will crap out sooner or later. :meh:

Loose Cannon 12-11-2003 05:10 PM

And my top pitchers in the American League right now would go like this:

1)Pedro
2)Mulder
3)Hudson
4)Zito
5)Halladay
6)Schilling
7)Mussina
8)Loaiza(sp)
9)Moyer
10)Colon

Those are all good pitchers, except Loaiza. Esteban has to have another decent year before I consider him amongst those guys.

Yeah your right. He can end up being like a Jared Washburn

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 05:15 PM

You clearly pointed out how they were better then the Jays  and if I actually cared I would brose the old forums and find threads where you posted that the sox are better then so and so... I'm not gonna waste energy on wasting time on an idiot like you who is to thick headed to look at both sides of an arguement, maybe you should hang out with Kane Knight a little more you stupid fu</>cker. it's idiots like you that make people not like teams from Boston... I have no problem with teams from there but it's idiots like you that give the teams a bad name.

that I did.

Can you really argue?

I did NOT however say that the red sox are the only team that can win.

You might as well just admit your defeat, theres no getting out of this one.

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 05:22 PM

and yeah I can argue that the jays are just as good as the sox... I''m just not gonna waste anytime with you.

Yashamaga 12-11-2003 05:23 PM

I didn't see it, btw.

but by making that satement you are accusing me of the same thing you are doing and are therfore dodging my original statement yet again.

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 05:26 PM

:wtf: except im not.. I said my piece about that...

MoRcHeEbA 12-11-2003 05:28 PM
