Pulp Fiction.

There's an extremely odd "fuck up" in Pulp Fiction that I'm unsure if it's a real fuck up or intentional. In the beginning when they're in the coffee shop the womans screams something along the lines of, "I'm going to kill every last fucking one of you". At the end of the movie when they're back at the coffee shop scene her line is different. I for the life of me can't think of the exact two lines but they are different. What are the lines and can somebody explain to me why the lines are different?

Destor 10-05-2006 05:17 PM

In the first scene of the movie, when Honey Bunny and Pumpkin jump up to begin the robbery, Honey Bunny shouts "Any of you fucking pricks move, and I'll execute every motherfucking last one of you!" Later, when we see Jules in the diner and Honey Bunny and Pumpkin begin the robbery, Honey Bunny shouts "Any of you fucking pricks move, and I'll execute every last one of you motherfuckers!" Her words are not the same, despite it depicting the same scene. This was purportedly done by design to illustrate the different viewpoints.

How is that a fuck up?

Destor 10-05-2006 05:25 PM

It's not.

Destor 10-05-2006 05:26 PM

Btw, Pulp Fiction is probably my favorite movie ever.

Downunder 10-05-2006 06:33 PM

I agree with Destor

Stickman 10-05-2006 06:58 PM

I thought it was a fuck up. I had no idea it was from different point of views...I'll watch it again someday soon.

Mr. Nerfect 10-08-2006 05:02 PM

To be perfectly honest I never even noticed it. You get the same message from the scene, and it adds some artsy twist to that shit. :y:

Pulp Fiction had me creaming over it as soon as John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson had their conversation on the way up to the hotel room containing Marvin, who would later get shot in the face.

Blitz 10-08-2006 05:53 PM

Aw man I shot Marvin :(

Love that line reading.

Dave Youell 10-09-2006 07:58 AM

I bet they fucked it up, THEN said it was done to be all arty and shit

FakeLaser 10-09-2006 07:59 PM

Whatever, it's genius anyway.

No but it is discussed on the DVD. As well as several interviews where idiots made this accusation at him. (This is not a first in cinema, and it is quite common in literature.)

Destor 10-10-2006 05:24 AM

I'd also like to point out there are differences in the scenes where Jewels shoots Brad the first time and later when it's revisited. (Like his clip being empty etc) These things are done on purpose.

Funky Fly 10-10-2006 05:37 AM

Yup.

This is definitely one of those movies you have to own because you end up watching it 456757865789 times over the years.

What Would Kevin Do? 10-10-2006 07:38 AM

Actually, if you live to be 90, and watch the movie 12 times a day, you could only watch it like 394200 times. Just saying. I think Funky was doing what we like to call "exaggerating."

Seriously awesome movie though.

Stickman 10-10-2006 01:12 PM

Can somebody tell me great movies that John Travolta was in besided this one? I always think of him as a B rate actor.
