So I picked up the GI*Joe Season 1 DVD set....

I was a little hesitant on the price ($79 Canadian), but it is a lot more acceptable than the $99 Transformer season sets (I'm not paying that much for only half a season).

What a great show, they sure don't make cartoons like they used to.

I was also surprised to see that a few episodes I always liked were season 1 episodes (like the ep with the jet fuel that creates giant fruit and vegetables).

The only thing that sort of confuses me is that in the intro it shows Sgt. Slaughter and Serpentor, who aren't even in any of the episodes and I didn't think were even in the first season period.

I have GOT to pick this up. I didn't get to see it when it was new but from the few episodes i've seen i've been dying to see this.

can you hook me up with a link? i know they had an earlier box set but it didn't have any extras or anything... i want to make sure i get the good set.

I have really sketchy memories about that series, although I think I'm being swayed by the blurb on the back of the action figures... stuff like the Cobra Commander having a weird outfit that totally changed at one point, or possibly being a totally different person at some stage... I just can't remember, all the action figures are long gone. :(
