Domain name...

Theres one I want, says expires on 2-05-2004... how long till it gets released so I can try and grab it?

Depends on if they renew it or not. Should have been on the 5th so I don't know. I'd just keep trying and getting ready.

Sounds like they might have renewed it though.

yeah, Register didn't show it renewed, but when I went to verisign.com it was renewed.

Sorry to hear.

What was the domain name?

I dunno what service you actually plan on using to register your domain name, but if you are using Verisign..

Use http://www.namecheap.com instead

There is a "two or three month grace period" after a domain expires, where the owner can re-register it. It's pretty retarded, IMO, since the domain should be available once it expires, but oh well.

You can either keep trying or use a service that Network Solutions has that automatically registers the domain for you as soon as it's available. I forgot what it's called but it costs like $80 or something.

yeah, I saw that... oh well, looks like they renewed..

I have my last name, have for years, and someone with the same last name (kinda funny, cause it's not very common) got the .net version and always seem to end up e-mailing .com instead of .net, so I figured I could solve the problem by just buying the .net if they missed renewing it.
