Gunner Scott (Brent Albright), who was one of the focal stars pushed in Ohio Valley Wrestling under Paul Heyman's regime as booker, and appeared for several months on the Smackdown roster was released today.

Scott had been sent back down to OVW for seasoning last June after being told that he wasn't connecting with the audience, although to be fair, he wasn't given much to work with creatively at the time.

World Wrestling Entertainment released ECW original Francine earlier today, so expect an official announcement at any time. No word yet on what led to the decision, although they had used her fleetingly on TV since the ECW brand was relaunched.

How will ECW ever survive without Francine?

No surprise with Francine. Frankly, though, if WWE wanted to use her, they should've made something of the history between her and Dreamer. Either have her go back to managing him, or have him manage a heel that's against Dreamer and the "ECW Originals".

Creative: Sorry man, you're not connecting with the audience.

Scott: Well maybe if I wasn't Mister McMahon's valet....

WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Diva Francine Fournier as of today, Oct. 12.

We wish Francine the best in all future endeavors.

Well, some reports I've read say that Albright should be back after taking some time off.

Francine was expected, don't really care but I liked Brent Albright even though the Gunner Scott name was stupid.

Francine = multiple years experience in the business, capable of taking a good bump, and willing to do anything to appease the fans.

Kelly Kelly = hot and willing to slut herself for the fans.

McMahon: Hmmm...

The bottom line I want to know is:

Did WWE wish them all the best in their future endeavors?

Why do WWE sign people like Francine only to use them once and release them?

Sucks about the Gunner Scott guy. Only knew him from his WWE stuff which wasn't much but he looked pretty decent. Hopefully he'll be back one day.
