In an announcement that will certainly create some discussion among fans, TNA announced this afternoon that they would be airing a music video set to the song "Enemy", performed by Chris Jericho's band Fozzy.

CHRIS JERICHO AND FOZZY TO APPEAR ON "iMPACT!" BEFORE "BOUND FOR GLORY"

See the national television debut of "Enemy" from Fozzy

On Thursday, October 19, on TNA "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV at 11pm ET, Chris Jericho and his band "Fozzy" will be featured in a music video for the song "Enemy" from their "All That Remains" album.

The national television debut of the video will feature Jericho and Fozzy along with the stars of TNA Wrestling just days before the "Bound For Glory" Pay-Per-View extravaganza on Sunday, October 22 live from Detroit, Michigan.

TNA Wrestling directors David Sahadi and Kevin Sullivan, who have worked with Jericho in the past, will be producing the music video for the "iMPACT!" broadcast.

"This is simply awesome," Sahadi told TNAwrestling.com "I have always had tremendous admiration for Chris Jericho as a professional and as a person. He's one of the coolest guys I know."

Don't forget - TNA Wrestling's "iMPACT!" goes primetime on Thursday, November 16 at 9pm ET!

Wonder if it will lead to more...

Xero 10-13-2006 01:57 PM

Holy shit.

I can't see any other reason to do this than to bring Jericho in.

Christ... Christian, Angle, and maybe now Jericho!?

Y2Jeremy 10-13-2006 02:09 PM

I officially just marked out. I REALLY hope this leads to something more.

McLegend 10-13-2006 02:15 PM

Interesting

Caged Heat18 10-13-2006 02:21 PM

It would be great to see Jericho back.

Londoner 10-13-2006 02:39 PM

Now TNA could be serious and I mean SERIOUS competition to WWE if they get Jericho. I'm far more interested in TNA's roster than WWE's already, this only adds to that interest.

The Ravishing One 10-13-2006 02:40 PM

WWE need Jericho now. TNA signing him would be bad news for the WWE.

TerranRich 10-13-2006 02:44 PM

Hmm, Chris Jericho, interpromotional star. If he appears on WWE anytime soon, I'll really start believing the conspiracy theories...

Isnt Kurt Angle doing that already? Or are you saying Jericho > Angle.

St. Jimmy 10-13-2006 02:48 PM

WWE will be fine even if TNA was to sign Jericho, or about 7 other names. They're on a dead night to WWE TV. People will still watch both shows. If TNA gets ratings, cool. If they go against WWE on Mondays - they will be dominated.

The Ravishing One 10-13-2006 02:56 PM

True.

Rammsteinmad 10-13-2006 03:02 PM

I recall hearing that about WCW in the early 90's.

Jeritron 10-13-2006 03:09 PM

Its like a game of capture the flag between TNA and WWE, Jericho being the flag.
Seriously though, I want Jericho back in WWE with a proper push. But if he goes to TNA then so be it, I just want to see him return. Though once I've seen him wrestle the best of TNA I'll be wishing he was in WWE still.

Jordan 10-13-2006 03:11 PM

All wrestling fans aren't idiots, if it was a monday night war, people would watch AJ Styles over Edge or John Cena, why? Because he's the shit. TNA is the shit, and WWE sucks.

The Ravishing One 10-13-2006 03:16 PM

I think the younger fans would choose Cena.

The Ravishing One 10-13-2006 03:16 PM

And the female fans.

The Ravishing One 10-13-2006 03:17 PM

The Jordan X's of the wrestling would would choose TNA.

Xero 10-13-2006 03:17 PM

And the retard fans.

The Ravishing One 10-13-2006 03:18 PM

OK...........

And the retard fans would choose Cena.

Mister Sinister 10-13-2006 03:23 PM

I dunno...I like A.J granted he is an spot monkey, but I would choose Edge over him...Hell sadly, I would choose Edge over everyone but Jericho and maybe X-Tian, or Alex Shelley if he isn't always jobbing.

If this were the case then wouldnt TNAs ratings be the same or come close as it is on Thursdays? John Cena has a lot of mainstream appeal. I definitely agree with you that hes the shit, but I just dont think TNA, based on that, is ready to compete overall. Talent definitely is, but they need to improve other things to make someone turn the channel.
People want familiar faces to attract them over there like WCW did, Angle and Sting have been big steps in that direction.
As stupid as some might think, the presentation really matters. Pyrotechnics, entrance way, arena lighting, the ring area and the title belts and attire seems to matter a lot to a lot of people.

The Ravishing One 10-13-2006 03:32 PM

Yeah production counts.

Yes he is but my point was that having both of them there would be better than just Angle. It enhances their chances of competing with WWE. I don't think just Angle being there will be enough, personally, cause he might not be around long enough. This may establish TNA as competition, though.

Crippla 10-13-2006 03:41 PM

Yeah TNA still needs a lot more but I'd be happy enough just to see TNA's show improve which will have to include more than just signing big names and talent but it's still a step in the right direction.

Jeritron 10-13-2006 03:45 PM

I agree, Angle is a huge addition but it can't stop there. By adding Jericho right after its twice as exciting. Plust the more big names they have, the more likely it gets for them to get more. It'll be interesting to see if guys like Goldberg or Lesnar make their way to TNA in the near future

6to1 10-13-2006 03:46 PM

tna would be good for jericho if he only wants to come back as a part time wrestler, less work and traveling for him. for the last year or so i liked the tna product better then the wwe. guess this means goldberg is not going to tna thats a good thing.

addy2hotty 10-13-2006 03:47 PM

This may be MAKE OR BREAK for Fozzy & TNA.

TerranRich 10-13-2006 03:52 PM

No, it's MAKE IT or BREAK IT...isn't it?

Very good point. TNA at its current state can never compete with WWE. WCW had Billionaire Ted to back them and therefore had state-of-the-art pyro, videos, and overall production quality. I'm sick of TNA's opening theme and video.

And last, but definitely not least, they have to lose the 6-sided ring to be taken seriously, IMHO.

Savio 10-13-2006 04:29 PM

I bet it will lead nowhere.

Londoner 10-13-2006 04:42 PM

^ How optimistic of you!

I don't think they need to change the ring to be taken seriously. They just need to book better than a second rate WCW, put more money where it counts, and start acting like they're more than a B-Show.

KingofOldSchool 10-13-2006 06:40 PM

In order for TNA to succeed, they need a better product, not just bigger stars.

Hulk Hogan came to WCW in '94, but he didn't do a damn thing for WCW until the nWo happened in '96.

Yes, talent is important, but they need to have the interest in the talent first.

I mean if people wanted to watch Kurt Angle, they could watch old WWE DVDs. Fans need a reason to continue to watch Angle in TNA. And tired storylines won't do it. Like WCW did, they need something new and original. Hell, make Vince Russo watch some Japanese wrestling and get stuff from there like Bischoff did.

Xero 10-13-2006 06:50 PM

TNA needs to build up new stars instead of using the same old shit in the main event every month.

Mr. Aristocrat 10-13-2006 07:00 PM

I have a massive erection.

Jericho > Angle > The rest of the wrestling world.

Mr. Aristocrat 10-13-2006 07:00 PM

But unquestionably, TNA needs to clean up their act and start making a product people give a shit about.

Mr. Aristocrat 10-13-2006 07:33 PM

Oh and if Jericho and Nash somehow, someway ever get in a promo battle with one another, I will kill myself later that day cause I am pretty sure my life will only go downhill from there.

Slappy3000 10-13-2006 09:07 PM

How about some Jericho/Shelley promos?

That would also be a fun match.

Sign on the dotted line, Jericho!
