He just fought Karl Parisyan in August. He is #1 contender out of whomever wins the next fight.

I am not sure if the TUF 4 guys will get their shot at the title before the current #1 contenders however.

Excited about this PPV though. I want Hughes to win, just because I dont like GSP and I want Monson to win but its just to mismatched that I dont think he will. Sylvia is a tool.

Not sure why people think Tito would/will win the fight in December against Chuck. After Chuck stuffs the first few take downs, he is going to kill Tito's confidence and then knock him out again.

Sylvia is the worse HW Champ of all time IMO..

Arlovski shouldn't have lost to him and should have fought him much harder than he did in that last match.. That was the most boring 25 minutes I've ever seen.. It was like watching paint dry while being punched in the balls..

Hughes is going to win again. He's too good not to right now.

He was getting schooled by Penn until Penn cracked his ribs.

Yah, but Penn has had the guys number. Dont know why, but i get the feeling if they go a 3rd, Hughes drops Penn in the 2nd round. And lets take nothing from Penn, he's superb in the octagon, but Hughes has just been so good that he was barely good enough for Penn. Say's alot about how good Penn is.

Seriously, GSP is Sacha Cohen's character from Talladega Nights. I just..cant root for him.

I have a feeling that the country boy will still survive, however. I do not see him steam rolling him as quick as he did the first fight, but I still think Hughes will squeek out a G&P on GSP. George definetly has the tool's to win, but he doesnt fight well on his back. And you WILL be on your back when you fight Matt Hughes. The ways he has been beaten is with Jujitsu, so people should be exploiting that.

As for December's Card...realistically I think Chuck is going to win, HOWEVER, I am such a Ortiz fan boy, I am officially putting him down as my predicted winner...and would put my custom title and avy on the line if requested.

Matt Hughes lost to George Saint-Pierre TKO (Ref Stoppage) due to a head kick that lead to some short elbows in round 2.

Had a few other fights that were exciting but I cant remember the other fights off the top of my head, and am to lazy to go to a site and ctrl-c, ctrl-p shit.

All around ppv was pretty decent imho. Only fight they showed that went to a decision was Sylvia's, because he is still the biggest tool ever. Everyone of us at my apartment where just on the edge of our seats when Monson scored the double leg in round 3. We were just wanting him to win sooo bad, and mainly because we dont like Tim Sylvia. I dont know anyone that likes him, he is a fucking boring fighter. I am not sure if he is cautious because he is afraid of getting hit, or because he is cautious because he is a counter-puncher, but all it leads to for him is a boring fight. I will not sit through another 5 round heavyweight fight with Tim.

George looked impressive in his victory over Hughes. I dont think it was smart for Hughes to stand up as much as he did last night. I do realize he went for a takedown attempt, but he shouldnt of stopped shooting for a takedown. Regardless of how much Matt Hughes standup has improved, I dont think anyone would of said before the fight that Matt would of won on his feet. I thought his chance to win would of been on the ground, and the fight wasnt even centered their in that respect.

Brandon Vera has a very good chance of being the next heavyweight champion of the UFC. He didnt even give Frank Mir a chance to showoff some of his new found confidence and cardio he acquired through training. Vera landed a big right early in the fight that rocked Mir. Vera then clinched, landed a big knee that put Mir wobbly, and Mir had no other choice but to shoot on Vera to try and get it off their feet so he could recover. Vera ended up on top of him after Mir's shoot and landed some heavy blows to stop the fight.

I popped like a fucking mofo when GSP won. Absolute total domination. Total class act too. Matt Hughes is a fucking bully prick and he got put right in his place. I seem to remember him mentioning that GSP should learn how to defend an armbar. Well how is he ever gonna defend getting KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!!!

Also, Vera is awesome. Mir is still an overrated fucker and Tim Sylvia is the most boring fighter in the history of the world.

I am very pleased with GSP's win. I've always thought Hughes was a decent enough guy, but he had 'prick' traits that showed themselves a bit too much.

Matt Serra said it best when he said he probably was the type of jock at school who gave people wedgies.
