Can somebody tell me why most people seem to say pride is better? I've seen clips on youtube and it's just visually not as appealling. I do like the 10 minute first round and only two weight divsions. There is a pride PPV this weekend being shown at a strip bar near by but I dont' know if I want to go or not.

having watched a couple Pride 32 fights on youtube I must say, I do like the no elbows rule. UFC fights are over as soon as somebody gets a free elbow. Eliminating that eliminates quick stopages.

I would LOVE to see Fedor fight Sylvia. My god, Tim would get his world rocked! Plus I love Fedor and hate Sylvia...so it'd be a double plus.

Actually Pride has 4...just they don't have champs for two of the divisions right now...

Heavyweight = 205+
Middleweight = 184-205
Welterweight = 160-183
Lightweight = <160

Althought I like that they can fight outside of their weight class. I think UFC needs to bring that back for some of their potential huge bouts. Personally I am a fan of the showmanship of UFC, they make things seem more flashy despite that the fights are not as solid. So call me a sucker for hype, but I do tend to like watching UFC, thought most of my favorite fighters are Pride. :shifty:

That last Pride PPV was awesome..

They have titles for Lightweight and middle I believe. Henderson and Gomi.
