What this I hear? TNA blowing their load prematurely? Whodathunkit?

This came from the newsboard.

As of now, Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe is already slated to be the main event for the TNA Genesis PPV next month on November 19. Of course, plans are always subject to change, but given the angle shot for iMPACT! heading into Bound For Glory tomorrow, that match is already expected.

Caged Heat18 10-22-2006 09:01 PM

So much for a long build up to their dream matches.

Kane Knight 10-22-2006 09:05 PM

BAH GAWD! YOU COULD KNOWCK ME OVER WITH A FEATHER DRENCHED IN BARBEQUE SAUCE!

Mr. Aristocrat 10-22-2006 10:50 PM

If TNA has Joe/Angle next month, I will lose all resemblence of respect for their booking team...I thought next month was planned as Christian/Angle.

Mr. JL 10-23-2006 12:06 AM

Wow, that would be pretty stupid. I mean you do absolutely not need to rush into this dream match that people never expected to happen. Most fans already have it in the back of thier mind that this match was out of the question (with Angle being in WWE and Joe on the indys). So fuck, wait for it and I guarentee you the fans will and they'll make more money.

I just finished watching Bound For Glory and it was pretty good. They had an Angle-Joe confrontation with security holding them back and it was pretty fucking good. Kind of reminded me of what ECW did between Taz and Sabu for the buildup.

Mr. Aristocrat 10-23-2006 12:38 AM

To be fair to TNA, Angle might not live to see 2007...so....eh....

Shadow 10-23-2006 12:39 AM

Could be the first in a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong ass fued. Ya never know.

Mr. Nerfect 10-23-2006 02:47 AM

This is what they should do. It'd be pretty shitty if Angle broke his neck against Christian Cage, and we NEVER got Angle/Joe. Get it done and on DVD.

M-A-G 10-23-2006 04:04 AM

Why is this a dream match?

Mr. Aristocrat 10-23-2006 04:10 AM

Because some people have confused fat with talent and think Joe is worthy of a title dream match...

M-A-G 10-23-2006 04:13 AM

Well, naturally, I mean the first thing I thought of when I first saw Joe was "OMG!!!!!!!!!1111111111111 HE NEEDZ 2 GO 2 WWE 2 HAVE A MATCH WITH ANGLE CUZ THAT WOULD BE THE BEST EVR!!!!!!!!!!1111111111111111"

Dave Youell 10-23-2006 04:54 AM

I can't see either guy going over in this match, Joe has the streak and Angle has only just debuted.

I really think they are gonna do a time limit draw for this one, then let them have there own feuds and re visit this one again in a few months, with a clear winner

Exactly what i'm thinking. I mean, what do they do if Angle gets injured within the next couple of months or so and they haven't done this dream match? Might aswell do it while they can. If Angle wasn't so injury prone then I would think differently.

hb2k 10-23-2006 10:35 AM

Here's the thing. You don't need to "build" Kurt Angle. He's already far and away the biggest star in the company. So here's the choice - you either bring him to a bunch of stuff that means nothing and make him just another guy like they did with Christian, feuding with Abyss and Monty Brown, or do you put him in a super hot feud right away. To me, even though I agree it could be built to, this is white-hot right now, and I'd rather this feud be white-hot than them waiting three months so the initial buzz wears off then starting it and it only making a difference to the people already watching.

Londoner 10-23-2006 10:40 AM

^ Yeah and people already know its going to happen, so they would just get frustrated more than anything if we didn't get to see the match I think. Have them face each other at the next ppv and then have a re match some other time. I've got a horrible feeling JJ is going to cost Joe this match.

hb2k 10-23-2006 10:50 AM

Angle should be the only guy able to beat Joe, in my opinion.

If JJ was still the champ i'd like that Idea, however with no title, that idea is a bad one and should be locked away

YOUR Hero 10-23-2006 11:42 PM

Angle.

Why.

El Fangel 10-24-2006 12:38 AM

Since when has TNA done anything that made any sense I mean the fucking place is owned by Jeff Jarrett, there is way too many problems besides this, look at the screwed up feuds awhile ago, no rematch, Christian Vs Rhino, JJ vs Sting, its dumb, and until JJ stops being a whiny egotistic bastard thats all we will get.
