This may be a stupid question, but... (iPod related)

Do they sell chargers that allow you to actually use your iPod while it's charging?

Yeah, I am using both my iPod and charger as I type this. Of course I'm using the official Apple one, since it came with the iPod.

The only thing that came with mine (besides the crappy earphones and manual) was the USB cable that charges it while it's hooked to the computer.

You can even play it charging that way, though you'd be better off just playing iTunes or whatever.

I got my iPod for Christmas in 2004. I guess they still came with the chargers back then.

Anyone have a newer iPod? From what I understand, older iPods used FireWire for charging and transferring, while the newer ones use USB. Does that matter?

So can you use your ipod and felch at the same time?

Mine supports both. I prefer USB, tho.

The newer ones still support both firewire and USB. You can get a charging stand if you really want one, but it's not that much faster than the one that runs through your computer. Mine usually gets charged by the player/charger that I have for my car. Or by my Bose speaker thingy that the iPod directly connects into.

I'm looking for something that'll actually let me use my iPod while it charges, though. Like if I hook it up to my comp to charge it, I can listen to it through iTunes, but I can't play any games on it.
