Is anyone going to see Saw 3.
And if so, tell me how it is.
I think it should have been left at Saw 1. But yes i'll probably see it. Saw 2 wasnt that bad.
I saw it last night. I thought it was the worst of the series.
I enjoyed it when I was watching it, but then I left feelilng empty and dissatisfied with it. Its like their just going through the motions now. You know what to expect with it, and that makes it less interesting to me. |
Never even seen the first 2.
I've seen 1 and 2 and shall be seeing 3.
I loved 1. 2 was passable. I expect 3 to be poor but I'm curious. The more overblown the series and deaths and contraptions and shitty twists become the more it takes away from what made the first one good. I suspect 3 to be much more like 2 than like 1. |

Running the premiere tonight. Not sure if I'll actually sit and watch it... Babel & Running With Scissors open tonight as well.
I will prolly see it either tonight, tomorrow, or on Halloween.
Haven't really bothered. I'm not a fan of those kinds of movies although the second was intriguing.
Saw 2>Saw 1
Seeing it next sunday, cant wait.
I'll wait for a good quality upload on Demonoid
I'm looking forward to seeing it, but Saw one was by far the best.
Gonna see it next Friday with the girl
I will see it eventually...
I rank this one below the other two, but this one was still worth paying to see.
There are flashbacks and connections to the past two, which tie up many loose ends....it almost felt like this one is the last one in the series, although I did read that they were going to 6... I actually liked the acting better in this one, as the guy who played Dr. Gordon in the first one was too monotone and several of the many actors in the 2nd one could have been better. |
I saw it Thursday night and loved it. Maybe not as good as the first (I never saw the second) but still a damn good movie to me.
I'll see the Marine instead:shifty:
Overall very good I thought.
So it looks like IF jigsaw is dead, Jeff will have to carry out his work to get his daughter back. Or his wife isn't dead (jigsaw's) and she's been controlling the whole thing Or the next film is a prequel Or finally, somehow, jigsaw isn't dead and just carries on |
This is probably the best Saw movie, IMO.
Saw it yesterday and loved it. Some of the parts at the end I could see coming, but others I couldn't.
I just got into this series, and went in saw the new Saw just today. I'm not usually that big into horror movies. But I decided to rent cus I was intrigued by the story that the bad guy is almost the good guy cus he tries to make bad people pay for what they have done in the past.
I was interested by the first 2 movies, and decided I had to see the 3rd. It was definitely the most gory of the 3, with more gruesome deaths. It also explained alot more things from the first 2 movies. Really now, I can't wait for a 4th one, depending on how far it continues. |
I don't really put Saw into the classic horror bracket.
As it doesn't follow the normal story of a non stop killing machine that always comes back. The Saw films are a very good combination of mystery and suspense IMO, whilst there is gore there in the deaths (which BTW are very creative) it's there to serve a purpose and it's never killing for the sake of killing |

He wasn't just doing it for the sake of it |
Yeah, but the writers were. A lot of violence was for the sake of, some of which really didn't push the story out side of the vehicle they chose. Might of as well been a slasher flick.
I checked it out today, good shit. Like Disturbed316 said I could pick some parts at the end but others I couldn't. I've enjoyed all three of the Saw movies although I still think the first one is the best.
I enjoyed both Saw movies whilst I was watching them, but I'm not too eager to revisit them, or label them classics, if you catch my drift? Neither was particularly superb, and neither was particularly "intelligent", if you ask me. They weren't bad, though.
What really pisses me off about them are some of the stylistic techniques used. There are some moments in the films that would have just been more effective if the director just watched on. It reminds you that all of this is a movie, and takes you out of the experience. Saw 2 was actually more solid than the original, if you ask me. The parts inside the house were much more captivating, but it had a few good twists in it. I hate the whole recap thing they do, though, especially when they skip over poignant lines of dialogue which really ring ironic in retrospect. I'm not going to fork out money to see Saw 3, but I will see it on DVD or on TV, and I'll probably like it. The franchise at least tries to justify its violence (take notes Eli Roth), and doesn't feel as self-fellating as it could. I've heard some reports that it is the most violent Saw film yet, but if it needs to stoop to that lowest common denominator to make enough money to continue being one of the more solid horror franchises out there, I'm willing to defend it. You gotta wonder when Jigsaw's gonna die, though. |
Yea, so I went to the theater and I was like "I'm here to see Saw" and the guy was all like, "You can't seesaw here, its a movie theater", and I was like "I know I came to see Saw", and he was like, "You can't seesaw here its a movie theater", and I was like, "I KNOW I CAME TO SEE SAW". Don't know what the fuck that guys problem was.
