ECW Chamber???

At an ECW show today in Milwaukee, Wis., ECW’s “Messiah” Paul Heyman declared that Rob Van Dam will, in fact, receive his ECW World Title opportunity at December to Dismember. However, Heyman also made the monumental announcement that RVD’s title match will take place in the first-ever Extreme Elimination Chamber.

RVD earned his chance at the championship last week in a Ladder Match and, as announced on ECW.com earlier this week, Van Dam selected ECW’s next pay-per-view on Dec. 3 as the setting for his title opportunity. However, the stipulations for that contest fall under Heyman’s own judgment.

Thus, ECW World Champion Big Show will defend his gold against five other Extremists within the lethal chamber structure. In addition to the Extreme Giant and RVD, the remaining four participants will be determined through a series of qualifying matches that will take place over the next few weeks – the first of which can be seen Tuesday night on ECW on Sci Fi.

The only thing more dangerous than the chamber itself will be the throng of hardcore competitors enclosed in its massive walls. Who will qualify for this unprecedented encounter? Exactly what awaits RVD, Big Show and the other Extremists at December to Dismember?

They are obviously doing this, because they expect a low buy rate with it being a week after Surivor Series and all. Then you add to the fact that we saw RVD vs Big show twice on TV so I guess this is there way of saving it.

1st, who I'd seriously like to see:
Big Show, RVD, Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, *Chris Benoit*, and I dunno who else, throw Test in there just cause hes about the only other big ECW heel.

2nd, who will probably be in it:
Big Show, RVD, Sabu, John Cena, Batista, Finlay.

Cena makes EVERYBODY tap to the STFU.

Maybe everybody tap at the same time when he puts them all in the stfu at once.

I see RVD vs. Big Show vs. Sabu vs. three superstars from RAW or Smackdown, since ECW has SHIT for a main event status.

Works well for the whole Paul Heyman "I don't want RVD to win the title thing." Obviously he has to oblige with a title shot, but now is making it a 6-man match...

The biggest problem is..if you put 6 people in this match, what other matches can you have? Anyway, I think the card should look like this:

Sandman VS Matt Striker

Stevie Richards & Al Snow VS Tony Mamaluke and Little Guido

Sounds like a cheap way to keep the title off rvd.

WWE writer: "Wait, heres an idea-we put a bunch more people in the match, and then we have someone everyone hates run interference at the end. That way we can stretch this out longer and won't be forced to actually "think"".

Extreme Elimination Chamber? What, is the cage gonna be barbed wire? (if so, cool).

So I think it's a safe bet that Show will be jobbing at this PPV.

And it's known that Vince doesn't want the title on RVD.

So rather than picking who's going to be in the cage, who's going to go over in it?

Out of the list mentioned, it can only be Sabu IMO

Personally i'd love CM Punk in there, but it's not gonna happen (stupid Knox feud!) So Sabu IMO is the only guy who's been pushed against Show in the past to look like any kind of threat.

There's still over a month before the show, so we will all probably know more in a few weeks time anyway

A sabu-rvd feud for the belt would be sweet!

They should have a pre-lim match at the start of the show for a spot in the Chamber.... would add another high level match to the card.

I reckon Test could very easily win it.

He's looking awesome at the moment...probably the biggest guy in the WWE. I loved his reaction when someone touched his arm on ECW this week :)

I'm guessing:

RVD, Daivari, Punk, Big Show, Holly, Test.

I originally would have predicted Big Show vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu vs. Sandman vs. Test vs. Matt Striker/Hardcore Holly, with CM Punk vs. Mike Knox as kind of a back-up program going into the show. I guess it's not going down like that, though.

But anyway, my new picks for the match are:

1. Big Show
2. Rob Van Dam
3. CM Punk
4. Sabu
5. Sandman
6. Test

CM Punk should definately win the title.

I like this idea as I really did not want to see another Show/RVD match. Plus, I like the elimination chamber so I think it can be a real good main event. The only problem is with six guys in the main event how in the world are they going to fill out an undercard. They only have a select few feuds, and most of those guys could wind up in the chamber. It looks like we'll see a few Raw guys on the show.

Thats not a bad list, but I think I would replace Sandman with Holly, as I feel he deserves a spot in the main event. PLus this way maybe you can have a Striker/Sandman match to have atleast one match on the undercard with a background.

I think CM Punk and Knox will have a match, as will Sandman and Striker.
RVD and Big Show will be in the chamber for sure and Sabu Test and Holly probably will too. I still would bet on there being at least one Raw or Smackdown guy to help sell the card. Either just for the match or to ECW full time, My pick for that would be Benoit but it'll probably a one match appearance by Taker or Batista or something.

Now, what about the "Extreme" part of the Extreme Elimination Chamber match? Are there gonna be weapons hanging from the roof that the participants will have to climb ladders to get?

It wouldn't surprise me if they put barb wire on the top of the chamber and sell that as an extreme chamber, despite the barbed wire never being able to come into play in the match. Much like No Way Out 2005, where JBL/Show fought in a Barbed wire steel cage match, and only the top of the cage had barbed wire on it, and it never came into play.

I think "Extreme" is just a phrase that they've thrown in there so it doesn't look like a WWE match. I doubt anything will be done differently.

Oh, and by the way...Stevie is totally the next ECW champ. :p
