I love Damien Rice, I got his album after seeing him at Glastonbury last year on the TV. The girl he sings with on Volcano has an amazing voice.

I'm quite sure he has fu</>ck all to do with emo, people need to stop tagging that onto music, period. :(

And never heard him, although I'd probably like his stuff as long as it isn't wrist slittingly depressing.

He's not emo. I'd think you like him. It's good music to chill too.

He's ok, but he's total girl music. That album has been around for ages. People down in Dublin have been going on and on about him and his album for the past 2 or 3 years. I copied O from my girlfriend because she is always on at me to listen to it. I can get through maybe 3 or 4 songs before it just gets tedious.

Plus, I hate the way he breathes and sings so earnestly in that Blower's Daughter song, and he almost sounds like Ronan Keating on it.

I always wonder how artists can suddenly get hyped to buggery when they've had an album sitting on shelves for 3 years already...
