Fantastic 4: Rise Of The Silver Surfer
 

Okay, I wasn't an big fan of the first movie, hell wasn't even an big fan of the Fantastic Four comic, however, just learnt about the second movie, which I beleive the story has the potential to be alot better then the first, as they don't really have to go into an whole story about the FF learning there powers..

Plus, adding the Silver Surfer into the movie, to take on, what will be the villian of the movie, The Planet Eater, Galactus!!!

Any Throughts?

Hopefully they don't lame up Galactus like they did Doom.

Yeah, despite being big in the comic world, the FF just doesn't translate well to movies. Especially with whoever wrote/directed the last piece of crap.

But I guess I'm just more looking forward to, the Silver Surfer then anything.

Plus, Yeah I somehow see them, making Galactus actually having to sell to the Fantastic Four, which he shouldn't considering, he eats fucking planets for breakfast

First time I saw FF I thought it was a let down because of my high expectations, after watching it again recently I realised it's not THAT bad.

Best thing about it by far was Johnny Storm though

You realise how many times he's done that, though? I think Richards is one of the only reasons Earth is still standing. He's like MacGyver, only cooler toys and no mullet.

Fantastic 4 has to be the second worst of the current batch of comic book movie, Hulk being the worst. I was watching F4 the other day, but I got to distracted by making cookies. I mean, it was so poorly put together I didn't bother hitting pause.

And Elektra?

Why did they give Electra a movie anyway? She's not the most exciting character in the Marvel Universe. I could see a mini series, but damn, not a whole shitfest movie.

I want DeadPool!

Yeah Deadpool is really the only comic book I want to see on the big screen now I dont really care about any other ones.

Deadpool would be cool. Maybe a tie in with Cable if they can manage not to screw up the whole "time travelling bionic commando savior of the world telepath" thing.

She's hugely popular. Unfortunately, they went for a huge suckfest.

X-Force would be kickass too. I loved some of the characters in that.

You know, besides just Cable. Plus, the whole fight with Magento and his was awesome.

You know I reakon it would be cool to see an X-Factor Movie. Just so I can see some of my favorites on the big screen such as Havok, Madrox and Forge. Even though in Mystique as well

Cable could be pulled off onscreen, they just have to cut every one of his signature themes to do it.

Catwoman was based on some white guy's wet-dream of Halle Berry after reading a comic book or two.

Reynolds could work as Deadpool.

Yeah, since Deadpool is pretty disfigured, there's no problem with Reynold's "nice guy" face interfering with DP's kickassedness.

Especially since he usually has his mask on anyway, and the focus is more on Deadpool's attitude than anything else.

It's not even close. I mean, it's been over a decade since I read comics, but I don't remember the Catwoman being a supernatural force or anything to that effect. Hell, Catwoman had nothing to do with Batman.

Well, I just assumed that if they were gonna do a movie about him, they'd at least give him an origin flashback, which would probably involve showing his face at some point.

For the most part, the comics themselves have avoided a true flashback. They managed to go decades without going beyond the whole "Weapon X" tie.

If nothing else, they could do something close to V for Vendetta. The Wachowskis made it entirely derivative anyway, so who cares about copying?

I mean come on, this is only Galactus. IMO the second biggest threat in the entire marvel universe (I vote Onslaught as number one). A fucking cloud... you'd have to be insane to think you could pull that one off. :nono:
