Watched Hitman Hart Wrestling With Shadows again today and was wondering, Bret said he hit Vince with a punch and then it showed Vince staggering in the hall so why didn't Vince have Bret arrested for assault or some shit?

Vince is a pussy.

Because in Pro-wrestling we don't narc. Against the rules, narcing is a good way to make a lot of enemies.

Yeah exactly. Think about the amount of guys who have had the shit kicked out of them backstage, then think of how many you hear actually being arrested for assaulting a wrestler.

Vince should've hit him back IMO. Davey Boy probably would've broke his legs so bad idea I guess.

Yeah, and the few times you do hear about cops being called it's usually by some random spectator.

Here's why there were no lawsuits:

When Bret knocked out Vince, Shane jumped on Bret and Davey Boy Smith attacked Shane to defend Bret. Davey busted his knee in the process and that could have been another lawsuit.

Also, Vince breached Bret's contract by not allowing him his 30 day creative control and would have had to pay out nearly his entire 20 year contract if it went to court.

So basically it would have led to lawsuit after lawsuit after counter lawsuit after counter lawsuit, etc, etc. Better off just carrying on with everything the way it went down.

Why didnt Vince hit back? Cuz he got dropped. Even had he tried to, he'd be dropped again and again, until Bret had enough and simply murdered the guy.

Vince at least showed more balls than the others, namely HHH, HBK and earl. They all lied and hightailed it. Otherwise a beatdown would have been imminent.

It was the fact that Vince breached Bret's multi-million dollar contract - if he went to court he knew full well he was in the wrong, and he didn't need the media black eye at a time when WCW was beating him.

All this talk about butts and nuts in a thread with Vince McMahon.

Figures.

If Vince went to court, WWE might have seriously gone out of business.
