I would say his best is The Shining.

It was cool how he played his character. The whole obsessive/compulsive and that other one i cant remember. Very nicely dne.

About Shmidt. I just didn't like the Shining or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's because they were so bad compared to the books.

The Shining and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest were the better films but I was shocked on how he stole the show in Anger Management.

whoever voted Anger Management or Batman needs to see more Nicholson films

I've practically seen them all and Anger Management wouldn't make my top 5 but I voted for that one because like I said, he totally stole the show which I didn't expect.

Has to be Easy Rider... Why isn't it on the list ? or is it only larger roles?
