Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny
 

I have a free screening to this later tonight so I'll tell you what I think then. But it looks like it might be entertaining. Dunno, not really a big Jack Black fan.

Am I the only one who thinks Jack Black is not very funny? He has his moments but so does Billy Crystal.

You're not. Tenacious D is all right, but Black annoys me. He was all right in School Of Rock, but I usually can barely tolerate him.

It was alright. I dunno, I'm not a big Tenacious D fan so it wasn't my thing. Had about 4 or 5 rofl moments but its really a stoner movie.

The album was a let down, but I will be watching it regardless

Better than I thought it would be. Some stuff I should've spotted coming miles away but I had shut my brain off so it ended up being funnier than I expected. Great cameos too :love:

The first hour was horrible, the fact that I had the album helped and actually made some of the songs mean more.

The last 1/2 hour was great though, think it's one of those films that you have to be in the mood to watch, as said earlier it's a total stoner film, but that's a good thing.

Tim Robins was great in it as well

Right before it started I looked at my friend who I went with and said 'this better not just be a load of fart jokes', then that animation came on at the start.

I havnt seen the whole movie yet...(just bits and pieces while skimming through the downloaded copy thats floating around)...

Greatest songs in the movie-

Kickapoo (Opening Song w/ Dio)
Classico (JB singing to the classic music that KG is playing)
The Showdown (greatest damn song I have ever heard)
POD (Ending theme from the movie)

The soundtrack wasnt really that great except for the few standout songs but finally seeing those songs used in parts of the movie helped a little with the soundtrack...but I still only play those four songs over and over again.
