If Hulk Hogan's body broke at WrestleMania 23
trying to scoop slam Big Show, how would you react?
Like if it left him paralyzed for life |
I might die of laughter. Also, I would more than likely throw some kind of "Ding Dong Hogan Gone!" themed party. Then I would realise that his face and image would never be taken off WWE TV and I would stop watching WWE all together.
TOVO Fact: Naitch has inspired Tovo to potentially order WrestleMania. |
I am going to your party if that happens
|
I'd wouldn't feel sympathetic because he'd be his usual stupid Hogan self, but it'd still suck for the guy.
|
he'd still have big show job after
|
:nono: Hogan

See The One's post.

Why would I laugh at someone being near killed?
Bottom line is most of us wouldn't be watching wrestling had it not been for Hulk Hogan so despite his faults, I respect him for bringing the business to mainstream. |
So what, he would still show up for summerslam.
|
yeah, and they would probaly make sabu job for him

Why would you laugh at someone being nearly killed? I don't know, but go on YouTube or KillSomeTime and see dozens of videos of people being mauled, crippled, or killed and people laugh at it. It's just fact.
Also I can 100% honestly say I started watching wrestling because of Ric Flair in NWA. Hulk Hogan actually kept me from watching WWE for a long time. So I can continue to hate him to this day, and when he is crippled, I can laugh. TOVO Fact: In the 80's Tovo watched the NWA and barely any WWE. |

where is your tovo fact, I need those facts
|
Yeah, I didn't start watching wrestling full time because of Hogan. Not taking anything away from him.
|
Well, I started [and kept] watching wrestling because of Hogan. Just like MANY, MANY others. If that differs from anyone else on the board, great. But, I'd never laugh at someone's misfortune in this business - especially being involved in it myself - when it comes to an injury, especially a very serious one.
|
I have to say I started watching wrestling because of 4 wrestlers, likely some of the most well known, and entertaining.
The Rock HHH Stone Cold Steve Austin The Undertaker I started watching wrestling occasionally around 1996-1997, then in late 1999 I watched it religiously, Like I would get pissed if I missed a wrestling show commercial. |

I would never wish paralysis on the guy. Maybe a pulled hamstring or quadricep on the way into the ring, or maybe when he's coming in for the Leg Drop. That'd be entertaining shit.
|
I would cry
|
I'd laugh until I realized how serious it was, then go "that sucks." But I wouldn't be heartbroken over it by any shot.
|
Wooooo!!
|
id rather see him get knocked the fuck out by bigshow..especially since Hogan was meant to win. Imagine Hogan lyng in the middle of the ring n Bigshow just lookng at him sayng "sorry"
|
if he screwed up while doing it but didn't get injured it would be a laugh
but if he actually got permanently injured i woudln't laugh |

I started watching WWF because of Undertaker. He was cool. Then there was Jake Roberts. That's why I started watching wrestling. I didn't care about Hogan until he turned into HOllywood Hogan in the NwO. Now if he were to get paralyzed I woudn't laugh no. But I'd think it would be pretty messed up. Specially if it was because he did his leg drop. |

I think he's trying to say that most of sports entertainment wouldn't be what it is without Hogan's influence and popularity. You are a tool. |

Sorry but i think the "its cool to hate hogan" bandwagon needs to topple over and explode simpsons style. The way some people on here act its as if he personally wronged them, creative control was written into his contract..deal with it.

TOVO Fact: Tovo had the opportunity to meet Hogan, but he decided not to. |

Noone can say that other people would have done a better job as things didn't go that way, its all would have and could have speculation. wwe has a roundtable discussion up on hogan as well which you can watch for free here http://www.wwe.com/content/media/vid...ps/wwe247hogan |
I'd laugh. Not because I wish harm, but because he's getting what anyone too stupid to know when to quit eventually gets.
Then I'd probably feel shitty about it. |
He can't have his shit broken, he's the immortal Hulk hogan, look at all those guys that kick the ever living shit out of him for like 10 minutes and then all he has to do is Hulk up and win. Come on, Hogan will live longer than all of us put together!
:shifty: |
I really wouldn't care. Serves the guy right for not stepping out of the spotlight. I wouldn't get joy out of him being crippled, but it's a little sad that I'd rather him actually fail at body slamming Show than succeeding and following up with a Leg Drop.
|
Heres a better scenario then, Hogan tries a scoop slam but topples backwards, Show ends up on top stunned, the ref counts show is too heavy for Hogan to kick out and Show wins.
That would crack me up. |

Austin > Hogan
He turned me into a fan, and he kept me a fan. And all the guys he put over made me keep watching. Austin came along and saved wrestling and brought it BACK to the mainstream, a feat perhaps more impressive than Hogan initially doing so. More importantly, he did it on his own merit and he got big because of who he was and what he did. Austin-mania was born from Austin and the fans and came from the ground up. Hulkamania was a genius creation that was pushed on people. Hogan was just a role of a genius creation. Vince and the WWF built Hogan. Austin saved and rebuilt Vince and the WWF. |
