Give me some really good indie films
 

I try to be something of a movie buff but I need some hot indie films to see. I've seen a lot of indie films I guess, but I feel like I have missed out on a lot, which does not fit in with my whole aesthetic.

Triple A, I am looking at you buddy. You know the sort of stuff I like.

<ul><b>Indie</b>
<li>Another Day in Paradise - From the director of Kids. Good stuff.
<li>Bound - First movie the guys who did The Matrix made. Mafia/lesbians.
<li>Buffalo '66 - I love this movie.
<li>Capturing the Friedmans - Documentary about a father and son that were charged for allegedly molesting mad kids. Very interestingly done.
<li>Easy Rider - In case you haven't seen. 60s movie with Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson in it, going on a road trip and smoking lots of weed.
<li>Happiness - Fucked up movie. One of my favs.
<li>Ken Park - Larry Clark movie (Kids). LOTTA PORNO IN THIS. Lots of cocks and breasts and vagina and cunnilingus.
<li>Kids - In case you haven't seen.
<li>Living in Oblivion - Steve Buscemi is a director of an indie movie where tons of shit goes wrong. Real good/funny.
<li>Mean Creek - Awesome.
<li>Raising Victor Vargas - Mad ghetto movie. Real good though.
<li>The Shape of Things - Very good movie.
<li>Welcome to the Dollhouse - Really nerdy 7th grade girl.

<b>Foreign</b>
<li>Amores Perros - Kinda a Spanish Pulp Fiction. Three stories are connected by one car crash. Great movie.
<li>Irreversible - Fucked up French movie. Goes backwards. Long ass rape scene.
<li>Lilja 4-ever - Really good and sad. Seriously awesome movie.
<li>Show Me Love - Same director as movie above, also really really good. Lesbian chicks.
<li>Open Your Eyes - Vanilla Sky was a remake of this. This movie is sick.

<b>Weird/Unusual</b>
<li>Altered States - A scientist experiments with this hallucinatory drug but it starts to fuck with his genes. It gets real trippy but then gets kinda retarded, but it's still pretty entertaining.
<li>Audition - In case you haven't seen. Really fucked up weird Japanese movie.
<li>Barton Fink - John Goodman, Steve Buscemi. Mad good.
<li>Dead Ringers - Two identical twin brother gynecologists. One is confident, one is not at all. Liked it a lot.
<li>Freaks - 1932 movie about sideshow freaks.
<li>Palindromes - Director of Happiness. 13 year old girl really wants to have a baby. They use like 13 different actresses for the 13 year old girl including some huge 99823lb fat black woman. It is a good dark comedy.</ul>

Thanks. The only ones I've seen are Kids and Easy Rider. I think I've seen Freaks also actually. Sounds really familiar.

Word on Series 7. Totally forgot about that flick.

I've tried at least 5 times to watch Irreversible - I can't get through 30 minutes of it without either feeling sick or getting a headache.

Yeah to be honest I think if I tried to watch it now, I have a slight feeling I wouldn't like it. Seen it like 4 years ago but I do remember liking it.

Waking Life is pretty good, IMO. Pretty philosophical though and some may be turned off by the animations.

Little Miss Sunshine is a good one.
