Fantasy hockey question (trade offer)
 

So I'm fourth in a 16 team hockey league and my team has started to come on strong so we're not struggling. One of my parts, however, is still struggling. That player is Patrik Elias. So today I got a trade offer Elias for Pavel Datsyuk straight up.

I like Datsyuk because he's a little younger and probably a shade more talented than Elias. Thought Elias is a second half monster. So I'm kinda iffy. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

Datsyuk 3G-11A-14Pts and Elias 5G-11A-16pts. Their both having simliar years, although Elias is a horrible minus 14, but I wouldn't expect that to continue. It's a tough decision as both men are capable of getting hot and just exploding. Datsyuk is on a more offensive minded team which can help him, but at the same time when Elias came back from Hepatitus last year he had an awesome half year. I'm a Devils fan so I'm probably a little biased, but I say stick with Elias as he's been playing better, and now that Gomez is back should pick it up even more. Hope that helps.

In fantasy sports, age is a definite factor in deciding among the top players. You don't want to get stuck with some old fart for the rest of your fantasy dynasty.

Well older players tend to get hurt more often/take longer to recover so yeah

Trading Elias might piss himn off and cause him to score a ton of points for his new team. Have you talked to him about this?

I wouldn't make the trade. Elias will come alive soon.
