Andre Roussimoff lived on a farm in Grenoble, France as a child. He struggled with his size his entire life... This movie follows him through his childhood and wrestling days, and will most likely end in his early death of heart failure (Hence the name "Heart of the Giant") in 1993.

This film is the second film based on(/inspired by) the life of Andre the Giant. The other one being My Giant, a classic dramedy starring real-life friend of Andre the Giant; Billy Crystal. Crystal befriended Andre during the filming of The Princess Bride.
