The Cup Is Half Full (AKA Name Something GOOD about WWE)
On the back of a piss-poor run of shows, and some lacklustre matches, let's take a moment to remind ourselves of some of the positives of being a WWE viewer at the moment.
So list one thing about WWE that you actually LIKE (and no repeating anything that another poster has already said). I'll start with: * I think Edge has done a tremendous job of updating his character and image over the last year, and is currently one of the highlights of Raw. |
Cryme Time.
JBL talks a lot. That's more or less the only thing I can think of right now.
CM Punk.
William Regal
Finlay and JBL on commentary.

Rated RKO is the only reason I watch raw atm.

Punk's loss has no relation to SS. I mean did you really think he would actually win. No, I'm sure you didn't. Not many did. So you knew he was going to loose, and I don't kid myself, so I figured he would go out second considering he was in there with Sabu. And when Sabu got took out and replaced by the vetren Holly it was a no brainer. Punk was going out firts, he's still green to the WWE. It isn't his time. so why does it matter? Loosing in the chamber causes absolutly no credibilty to be lost on guy. None at all, besides you first loss being for the ECW at the hands of Rob Van Dam aint a bad way to go. SS will Punk in the long run, but he had to loose in the chamber.
Punk had a good outing btw. Until after all the eliminations (right before Lashley got in) the crowd was hot and it was a really fun match. Test, RVD, Punk, and Holly put on a damn fine show. |
(Something positive.)
Their DVD's are amazing.
I knew Punk wasn't going to win, but he should have out lasted Test and at the very least Holly. Personally I would have had him exit after RVD as well, I mean if WWE has no intention of putting RVD back on top, why bother to keep him floating at the bottom of the ME, let him back down into mid-carder hell.
Point: This loss doesn't take Punk off course in the slightest.
Counter Point: WWE isn't smart enough to plot out a course...for anything or anyone...
You have lost all faith in them; haven't you? No matter, Punk will be fine, this isn't an attempt to bury him. That's outlandish. The people you need to worry about are RVD (and more notably,) Sabu.

Shelton Benjamin. He hasn't been up to much lately, but with Cryme Tyme it seems like he could really have something going. I mentioned a couple of weeks ago how he should mention how they're nothing but bad black stereotypes, and he just did this past Raw. It made me so happy.

I like the apparent revival of the WWE's interest in tag team wrestling. Granted, it will probably die, but let's look at what we have currently:
RAW: 1. Rated-RKO 2. DX 3. Cryme Tyme 4. The World's Greatest Tag Team 5. The Highlanders 6. The Redneck Wrecking Crew ECW: 1. Elijah Burke & Sylvester Terkay 2. Full Blooded Italians 3. The Henchmen 4. Rob Van Dam & Sabu (they're not a full-time tag team, but they don't really need them in the singles division) SmackDown!: 1. Paul London & Brian Kendrick 2. The Blue Bloods 3. The Teacher's Pets 4. Scotty 2 Hotty & Funaki Not sure where the fuck they are: 1. The Hardys 2. MNM 3. The Shane Twins Am I the only one who wants to see the following matches take place: -Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. The Hardys vs. MNM vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team in a TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship -Edge & Randy vs. Paul London & Brian Kendrick in a Tag Team Champions vs. Tag Team Champions Match Just throw those matches at us, further the storylines through them (putting over PL & BK both times), and let the tag teams roll! |

We have one of these "look at the bright side" threads once a week, it seems like. When you have to make a whole thread to force everyone to be optomistic on a regular basis...
well, says alot about the situation. |

Unless you're assuming they will because Shelton looks primed to feud with Cryme Tyme, which admittedly crossed my mind too. |
Haas got into the ring and "celebrated" with Shelton. Definite tease there.
Did he?? After the Super Crazy match? I definitely missed that then. I must have blinked.
Sure did.
But where does that leave the Viscera/Haas team???
They were destined to be ranked up there with the Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs, Rockers, Midnight Express.... Okay, then, they weren't. |
I dunno if that tease means a return to the WGTT. Looked more like the beginnings for a feud to me.
Anyone else think London and Kendrick could use a make over? Not anything regarding their styles or names, just gimmick and ring gear. They seem a little cheesy. It reminds me of the Hardy Boys before they got "xtreme".
It still only takes up 7 hours of a week on three channels out of hundreds....
Not looking at any of the responses, I'd say:
- JBL on commentary - Cryme Time - C.M. Punk - Team Rated RKO (well, the concept at least) - Gregory Helms as Champ (even if he hasn't done a lot lately... or even through half of his reign) Mixed emotions about all these old tag teams teaming up again or teasing reunions. |

I really don't have anything to say in regards to this topic.

Just a reminder that there may be light at the end of the tunnel, that's all. Something to keep us tuning in.
