Ocarina of Time

Just busted this shit out again for N64.

Still better than any game to have been released since, IMO

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THIS MASTERWORK?

El Fangel 12-05-2006 06:20 PM

One of the best games I have ever played.

RoXer 12-05-2006 06:23 PM

wheres nerf with his quote from whats his name?

El Fangel 12-05-2006 06:30 PM

You mean the Jan 23rd/ 1999 One?

El Vaquero de Infierno 12-05-2006 06:30 PM

I've got the urge to break out my N64 when i get back home for xmas, and play some ocarina of time. Goodness all around!

Great game but I never finished it. I played it for so long and got all the way to the end. Then stopped for awhile and forgot everything.

Beat it once and played it quite a bit, but I don't like busting out these old games I have fond memories because after playing so many modern games, these old ones aren't as great as I remember.

Just yesterday I tried to play one of my old FF7 saves, and found myself getting frustrated with the controls, don't remember ever disliking them back in 98.

Requiem 12-05-2006 09:14 PM

Zelda: OoT is one of the few old games that I still find to be as good as it was when I first played it.

Destor 12-05-2006 09:19 PM

OoT was the second best game I ever played until I played TP. Now it's the third. (The first [now second,] was LttP.)

Fignuts 12-05-2006 09:41 PM

Yeah, link to the past was better imo. VERY close, but I enjoyed that one more.

Destor 12-05-2006 09:42 PM

Twilight Princess blows everything out of the water though. I'd imagine if I weren't playing it on the Wii I wouldn't be saying that though.

ClockShot 12-05-2006 09:57 PM

Loved Ocarina of Time. But I gotta put it next to Link to the Past. Always have fun playing that.

But yeah fantastic game.

Dorkchop 12-05-2006 11:17 PM

I never played it, but I watched my friend play quite a bit of it years ago when it came out. It was a pretty good game to watch. I'm not a Zelda fan, but Twilight Princess is really damn awesome... And I'm only 3+ hours into the game. Twilight Princess would be completely different if there was never Ocarina of Time.

Kapoutman 12-05-2006 11:50 PM

Ocarina of Time is my favorite game ever. Twilight Princess up to now is pretty awesome too, but I want to finish it before passing judgment.

Blitz 12-06-2006 05:16 AM

Good game.

Incidentally, it is the only Zelda game I've ever played.

Kris P Lettus 12-07-2006 09:22 PM

I've beaten it like 5 times..

Awesome game..

On a similar topic, I recently started playing Duke Nukem: Zero Hour for the 64 again and it's one of the best shooter games of all time.. Fucking love it..

road doggy dogg 12-07-2006 09:26 PM

OoT is so damn good. Majora's Mask is under-rated too imo.

Can't wait to play Twilight Princess, waiting till after Christmas to pick up a Wii though.

Destor 12-07-2006 09:31 PM

Going through Majora's Mask again right now.

Kris P Lettus 12-07-2006 10:08 PM

I tried but the whole 3-day clock thing frustrates the fuck outta me..

Kris P Lettus 12-07-2006 10:09 PM

Oh and I am getting a Wii after X-mas too..

Kapoutman 12-07-2006 10:23 PM

Yeah, the three-days thing frustrated me at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty cool. You just have to plan in advance what you're gonna do with the three days.

road doggy dogg 12-07-2006 11:07 PM

It's really damn annoying when doing that fucking water dungeon. Playing the Song of Time backwards makes things drastically more manageable though.

Boondock Saint 12-07-2006 11:59 PM

Good shit.

I beat it when it first came out.. It's just that when I tried to replay it recently, I got frustrated pretty quickly..

:$

El Fangel 12-08-2006 03:41 AM

OoT, I really should try to find my N64 shit, and start a new file, that game was bomb.

ron the dial 12-16-2006 12:03 AM

I have always had a hard time picking between Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past. I played ALttP first, so it's not a slight nostalgia edge, but nothing compares to the impact that OoT had on video gaming in general. Amazing game. The problem is, with Twilight Princess now in the mix, I have an even harder time picking a favorite.

But, on topic, OoT is easily on of the best video games ever made.
