The wrestling end of the show will be handled by Big Vision producer Kevin Klinerock, Vampiro, and Cody Michaels. Klinerock is a former XPW official and Vampiro will act as head writer for the project.

Wrestling talent confirmed for the project includes Ruckus, Vampiro, Sean Waltman, Jack Evans, Matt Sydal, Lizzy Valentine, Teddy Hart, The Human Tornado, Dragon's Gate stars Masato Yoshino and Genki Horiguchi, Colt Cabana, Jimmy Jacobs, Ricky Banderas, Aaron Aguilera, B-Boy and others. The series was taped in its entirety last month in Los Angeles.

Not a bad line-up, to be honest. I think this could be real good.

Gulak 12-08-2006 02:38 PM

I'll be watching. A half hour though?

weather vane 12-08-2006 02:41 PM

deftones are good

Xero 12-08-2006 03:04 PM

I'll TiVo it and check it out. I doubt it'll be great, though. I heard the entire thing was scripted and was run more like a TV show than a wrestling show (more-so than WWE).

I think I read they pulled the "you must cheer for so-and-so" and actually retaped parts. Hope I'm wrong...

addy2hotty 12-08-2006 03:27 PM

X-Pac heat comes to MTV. Please reform the X-Factor. Pretty please.

Blitz 12-08-2006 04:38 PM

I'd laugh if it ends up decimating ECW in the ratings.

Jordan 12-08-2006 04:49 PM

God I hope it does.

Volare 12-08-2006 05:20 PM

I can see the new book coming out "TUESDAY NIGHT WARS!!!"

It will actually be a picture book consisting of 4 pages...Waltman, Colt, Lashley and Dreamer...and that's about it

Caged Heat18 12-08-2006 05:23 PM

I'm willing to give it a chance, and will probably check it out.

M-A-G 12-08-2006 05:38 PM

Music and wrestling...man, good thing no one running a company came up with THAT before.

Normal Is Me 12-08-2006 06:12 PM

I'd find it funny if TNA Impact! goes head to head with WWE RAW. Then Wrestling Society X goes head to head with ECW on Sci Fi. Then another wrestling company to goes head to head with WWE Smack Down!

El Fangel 12-08-2006 07:52 PM

***This is not real***

Ring of Honor has today signed a contract, that starting Jan 3st/ 2007, they will air a 2 hour show, at 8pm east standard time.

:)

Skippord 12-08-2006 11:55 PM

Zakk Wylde will carry that show to the top

The One 12-08-2006 11:57 PM

I'll watch it...once...

Skippord 12-09-2006 12:06 AM

Vampiro + Zakk Wylde I'm There

Shadow 12-09-2006 01:04 AM

This can only end in tears and fire.

TEARS AND FIRE I SAY!

D Mac 12-09-2006 01:08 AM

I will not watch it on account of X Fuck.

El Fangel 12-09-2006 01:53 AM

Whats wrong, why does everyone X-Pac? Wait...Forget it.

The One 12-09-2006 01:56 AM

Waltman = INCREDIBLY underrated. He and Vampiro (ok and maybe Colt a little bit too) are the only reasons I am even going to give this a one time test viewing.

Quite possibly the single most under appreciated tag team of the modern era.

Destor 12-09-2006 02:32 AM

I will likely never see this if it's up against ECW.

Fox 12-09-2006 02:49 AM

Gonna be interesting to see Jack Evans on national TV.

Destor 12-09-2006 02:53 AM

No, it's really not...

Londoner 12-09-2006 03:26 AM

Sounds like a shite promotion, and why do they have their name ending in the x? Whats up with wrestlings obsession with X anyway?

D Mac 12-09-2006 07:14 AM

Did I mention I hate X Pac?

Londoner 12-09-2006 07:37 AM

X-division
Mr. X(some character in tna one time)
X-pac
D-generation-x
Wrestling society x

Can someone tell me why the letter x is used so much in wrestling? Just makes it seem more like a kids things to me for some reason.

Gulak 12-09-2006 07:40 AM

And yeah you guys should know that this is gonna be a TV show more than a wrestling. They've actually been turning unattractive people away from the audience in SoCal and only letting in more camera friendly people.

That, and you like bands that sing about sucking dick, and GC and NFG fit the bill.

Kane Knight 12-09-2006 08:06 AM

Though I am amazed that MTV managed to outgay WWE's music choices.

thecc 12-09-2006 08:10 AM

I think Ruckus is gonna impress a lot of people.

KingofOldSchool 12-09-2006 08:35 AM

This will suck worse than D2D.

Kane Knight 12-09-2006 09:10 AM

I don't believe that.

KingofOldSchool 12-09-2006 09:12 AM

At least WWE let the fans boo/cheer/chant want they want.

They just mute negatives and add positives.

Bad Company 12-09-2006 09:44 AM

Maybe competition will stop ECW being so shitty

Fignuts 12-09-2006 10:18 AM

There's actually some great talent here. Everyone is focusing on x-pac.

Horiguchi, Ruckus, Jack Evans, Sydel, Yoshino, cabana, gibson. Havn't seen the rest in action, but these guys alone will get me to tune in.

What Would Kevin Do? 12-09-2006 11:00 AM

JIMMY FUCKING JACOBS!

It's MTV. They're mixing pop music and wrestling. I don't think Bret Hart vss Kurt Angle could give me an ounce of confidence in them, Pac or no Pac.

Corkscrewed 12-09-2006 01:10 PM

Cool Ruckus vid. Total spot monkey, but a mindlessly entertaining one.

Actually I have never listened to a single song by any of the before mentioned bands...(that or I might have heard them on a store radeo or a friend's stereo or something)
