Lashley's next challenge.
Prolly will be from either Test or Great Khali. Don't really see anyone else in E C Dub. Hardcore Holly? Nah. Hope not anyway.
|
Doubt it'll be Khali as he's not to be in a wrestling role so probably test and Hardcore Holly. Why not both? Not that it makes it more entertaining or anything but i could see it happening, maybe even put RVD in there and make it a fatal 4-way.
|
I''m thinking it will be Test, as their really isn't anybody else. It could be Hardcore, but I think Test will get the nod. They really should turn Lashley heel at some point before Wrestlemania and have him feud with Punk, with Punk finally taking the title at Wrestlemania.

^ Would rather have RVD take it instead of punk, if ECW makes it to WM that is.

And rightfully so.

Bit early for punk though.

Being a Black Champion: The Bobby Lashley Story.

The comments in this thread go to show one thing.
ECW is truely dead. Again. |
You just know they'll switch the belt to either Test or Holly. If they wanted Van Dam they'd have done it by now.

Not to say that it's a good situation, but to put a positive spin on it...
This kind of reminds me of titles runs of yesteryear, where the emphasis wasn't so much on matches with people who were too serious of a threat to take the title, but rather on focusing more exclusivly on the champion by just having them put on good matches with impressive looking guys. Not to say that serious challanges don't rise, but it's understood that extended periods of time will go by where the spotlight is on the glory of the champion rather than feuds over the title. This means that Lashley can kind of do something similar to what Big Show did for the first few months of his reign and take on all comers to build him up as champion. Even if he beats a guy like Test several times in good close matches, the idea should be that Test is still built up as a credible contender, as he also squashes other people on the roster. Eventually, the time can be ripe for the title to change hands in a high profile match. For those of you watching at the time, think back to the mid to late 1980s - Flair and Hogan put on plenty of programs with people who clearly weren't taking away their titles, where the purpose was just to milk off of the popularity of Flair and Hogan. As I said, this isn't a good situation because today's wrestling climate is very different than it was in the 80s or earlier. I can rattle off a bunch of details, but I have to run in a few, and I'm sure you guys can think of them. |
I also realize that even if today's climate were the same as it was years ago, Lashely right now probably wouldn't be the best candidate to put the title on, ect.

Seriously, he sounds like such a pussy. Lesnar had that same problem, huge guy who looks like he could fuck you up and a voice that Walt Disney would have killed for for his cartoons. |
Hahahah....yeah, that Lesnar......man he sucked.

The state of ECW is said.
Angle and RVD ruined it for everyone. |
