6. GHC Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Title: Takashi Sugiura & Yoshinobu Kanemaru © beat NOSAWA & MAZADA (26:06) when Kanemaru used the Touch Out on NOSAWA. (1st defense)
7. Takeshi Rikio, Mohammed Yone & KENTA beat Yoshihiro Takayama, Minoru Suzuki & Takuma Sano (22:44) when Rikio used the Muso on Sano.
8. GHC Heavyweight Title: Mitsuharu Misawa beat Naomichi Marufuji © () with an avalanche-style Emerald Frosion to become the 11th champion.

After the match, Takeshi Morishima entered the ring and declared his intention to challenge for the belt. Misawa accepted, predicting that the match would be a severe fight.

Kenta Kobashi made his return to Pro Wrestling NOAH after the 4th match, being met with a hero's reception from the crowd. Dressed in a suit, Kobashi said that he had been recovering gradually, and that he would return to the ring without fail.

SUWA announced after his loss in the 5th match that he would be retiring before the Spring of 2007, and that he hoped to make the most of his remaining time competing for NOAH.

-----

Well, that didn't last long. Morishima, your next GHC champ. Kobashi is still a crazy bastard. No more SUWA :(

Gulak 12-10-2006 05:07 PM

I'm challenging for the GHC World Heavyweight title after Morishima.

Avenger 12-10-2006 05:09 PM

good luck with that

Gulak 12-10-2006 05:09 PM

Thanks Avenger.

Fignuts 12-10-2006 05:10 PM

wtf

The booking of this title has been piss fucking poor the past few years. Fucking awful.

Hopefully Morishima or Kobashi take it from misiwa and give it another long run. Cause I don't think they're planning on keeping it on him long.

No more John Woo is gonna suck

Also, three other people will post here, then it will drop down the page.

Gulak 12-10-2006 05:14 PM

Ryu should have been booked to win that title a long time ago.

Gulak 12-10-2006 05:15 PM

RYU*

Mr. Monday Morning 12-10-2006 05:15 PM

But those 3 will be infinitely cooler than anyone else in this forum

Fignuts 12-10-2006 05:22 PM

I guess Misiwa had to really fight to win, which makes marufuji look pretty damn strong. But I would have preferred he beat misiwa, then lost to Morishima, Then Morishima beats misiwa. Because the only reason they're doing this is to give Morishima the title win over misiwa.

What Would Kevin Do? 12-10-2006 05:50 PM

WTF?!?! Why the hell did Misawa have to win. Jesus H. Christ.

And no more SUWA :( :(

This is horrible.

Fignuts 12-10-2006 05:52 PM

Seriously the title has been hot potatoed since Taue.

Fignuts 12-10-2006 05:52 PM

No more AWESOME marufuji singles matches for a while I guess

Fignuts 12-10-2006 05:53 PM

And isn't it about time for another super J cup? Last one was god awful. It needs redemption.

What Would Kevin Do? 12-10-2006 06:36 PM

You know, I wonder if SUWA leaving could be fake.... He is a dick, and been working with Voodoo Murders recently....

Gulak 12-10-2006 07:01 PM

NOAH has been downhill ever since the Shungoku Satsu was disallowed.

Londoner 12-11-2006 10:59 AM

*Posts just so he can be one of those 3 cool people.*

Fignuts 12-12-2006 12:20 AM

Too late TL.

Fignuts 12-12-2006 12:20 AM

I'm gonna keep bumping this thread, just to stick it to the man.

Fignuts 12-12-2006 12:21 AM

Nah, but seriously, this is the officual Noah thread.

Cause I said so.

thecc 12-12-2006 12:21 AM

Damn, I was hoping Marufuji would have held it for longer.

What Would Kevin Do? 12-14-2006 05:32 PM

The Briscoes in NOAH.... Hmmmmm.... THat's going to be... interesting. They never struck me as NOAH style... Also, I wonder if they're going to further the ROH Vs NOAH idea.

Fignuts 12-14-2006 07:56 PM

Further it by jobbing to Yone and Morishima, mayybe.

What Would Kevin Do? 12-14-2006 10:05 PM

What the fuck are you going on about? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just delete that?

Volare 12-15-2006 08:01 AM

Kinda reminds me of the Ultimate Warrior...Just rants and raves and looks to the stars and you never know what the fuck he's talking about...but I guess it means something

From Green Destiny- http://noah.puroresufan.com/

Tokyo Sports announced their yearly pro wrestling awards today, and Pro Wrestling NOAH wrestlers did well in the standadings. Naomichi Marufuji did not succeed in his quest to become the MVP of wrestling in Japan, as Triple Crown champion and Marufuji's former partner Minoru Suzuki won the award, with Marufuji finishing second. Marufuji did however win the "Outstanding Performance" award, following Takeshi Rikio's win of that award in 2005. Finally, NOAH won the annual "Best Bout" for the fourth year running, as Naomichi Marufuji vs. KENTA for the GHC Heavyweight Title from the October 29th show won the award.

Mitsuharu Misawa will make his V1 defense of the GHC Heavyweight Title against the man who challenged him after his win on December 10th, as Takeshi Morishima will challenge for the belt at the first Tokyo Nippon Budokan show of the year on January 21st.

Honestly, anyone who hasn't checked out Marufuji vs KENTA from that link I posted needs to do so right now. Fantastic match. Dunno how I feel as Morishima as champ. I would have preferred if Marufuji would have held on to it til Kobashi was ready to challenge but oh well. Maybe Morishima will surprise me.

What Would Kevin Do? 12-16-2006 04:25 PM

MINORU MOTHERFUCKING GOD SUZUKI!!

Mr. Monday Morning 01-07-2007 05:28 PM

And your NEW Jr Heavyweight Tag Team Champions are...the Briscoes

What Would Kevin Do? 01-07-2007 05:54 PM

Holy shit.

Fignuts 01-07-2007 08:13 PM

You know, with all the interpromotional stuff between ROH and NOAH/DragonGate, its not too far fetched to expect a ROH faction in the next Firepro.
