The Million Dollar Challenge [[Turning Point SPOILERS]]

At Turning Point tonight, BG James and Kip James, collectively known as the Voodoo Kin Mafia, performed a skit mimicking Shawn Michaels and Triple H in their DX routine. It was pretty stupid and not at all entertaining, but things got kind of interesting when BG got on the mic and put out the "Million Dollar Challenge."

They're apparently putting up one million dollars to fight Shawn Michaels and Triple H in either TNA or WWE. It's also a challenge to Vince McMahon, saying that Vince has the power to let this happen or not happen, and it will prove if he has balls or not.

I think this whole thing is really fucking stupid. If these guys can't find anything more interesting to do than stir up old shit from 2000, then maybe they should go back to the drawing board and figure out a real gimmick. I'm sure this whole thing is also prostituted by Vince fucking piece of shit Russo, who obviously has a grudge against WWE and Vince, for his own stupid fucking mistake.

Anyways, it might be interesting to see if McMahon and Co. respond at all. Chances are they'll just stay quiet, like they did when Bischoff challenged Vince to a fight at a WCW PPV, and the James' will end up looking pretty stupid. Or more so.

Thoughts?

The Fugitive 12-11-2006 02:17 AM

Like Vince, Trips or HBK needs their million dollars.

Destor 12-11-2006 02:21 AM

VKM proves yet again to be the worst thing in wrestling today. This segment was bad. Really bad. Worse than the Vince/JR's ass thing by a long shot. At least there it wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Btw, nothing will come of this. They will be ignored and continue to do these stupid skits until they do something to "claim victory." All the while everyone who watches outside of the iMPACT! Zone will call them retarded.

Blitz 12-11-2006 02:25 AM

It is nothing short of a fucking astrological phenomenon the way this angle just keeps getting worse.

Übermensch 12-11-2006 02:35 AM

This does nothing but frame the WWE as the company that others are to be measured up against, an idea TNA should be working to diminish.

DRBailey 12-11-2006 02:49 AM

Whoever wrote the news at 411 has the plan. Totally agree w/ Ubermensch , if Vince called their bluff they'd be up the proverbial creek. Didn't work for WCW (mind you when Vince Russo booked neither did the 'shoot' atmosphere, same with TNA w/ his first run)

VKM could work if they were more subtle with it, or even more sophisticated with it. For a no.2 promotion they're not exactly setting the world on fire with his sort of angle. At least , from what I hear, they're working on Samoa Joe like a beast but I just hope he moves on from Angle...

Mr. Nerfect 12-11-2006 02:52 AM

I don't know, I mean people are going to be checking out TNA more and more in coming weeks, what with Kurt Angle jumping over there, and having a team point out how stupid the WWE is could play out to be a smart move, in my opinion.

I don't think Voodoo Kin Mafia is the team to do it, though. Kevin Nash, Alex Shelley and Austin Starr would be much more enjoyable, as the irony isn't there. Maybe Matt Morgan? The guy is huge, can talk, Cornette is a fan of him. Try using this to get over new stars, rather than taking two guys who used to be a good tag team, and wasting time on PPV that could go to new stars.

LAME

St. Jimmy 12-11-2006 05:51 AM

Where the fuck would Roadie get a cool million? I didn't know drug addicts were really good with money. Go figure.

Destor 12-11-2006 05:52 AM

LOL, I didn't even think about that. No way he actually has the money.

Blitz 12-11-2006 05:55 AM

lol that would be fucking hilarious if Vince actually said OK, and then VKM is like "Well..............We don't actually have the money...."

HHH and HBK go over...

VKM:Will cash be ok?
Vince:Absolutely
VKM:Well then, we've got a problem. The banks are closed by now
Vince:It's 12:15 in the afternoon...
VKM:Maybe your big wrestling star banks are opened crazy hours, but we in TNA are simple folk. We like our ratings low, and our banks closed.......

Props for the ref even though it's an easy one.

Blitz 12-11-2006 06:37 AM

Simpsons, of course.

Blitz 12-11-2006 06:37 AM

Then HHH takes a flamethrower to VKM, Stewie_style.

Same

Chuck Jones 12-11-2006 09:56 AM

They'll probably get the money from Dixie Carter. I mean whats another $1 million when you have already lost $25 million.

Xero 12-11-2006 10:10 AM

Just one more fact to throw into the "WCW 3.0" bin.

I agree with everything except that line. If Russo had a grudge against WWE, he would have plastered it all over his book. He called McMahon a genius no less than a dozen times throughout the entire book. If Russo is writing it, his hand is being guided by somebody else.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm put off by Angle's antics. The WWE bashing over there on TNA is to be expected, but the level at which they do it is tacky. The casual fan of WWE doesn't even know where Angle is, and anyone who does has probably heard about Kurt "butt sex" Angle's radio antics and it doesn't really drive the masses to switch over. Neither does VKM's crap.

They said either TNA or WWE. If I were McMahon, I'd take the challenge, but book them on WWE as returning New Age Outlaws, more heelish than ever and trying to take over DX. Book the matches Invasion style, having DX win every step of the way, then take the million bucks as promised. VKM might try shooting on DX, but WWE could just cut off the mics and replace their voices with other stuff, ala DX screwing with McMahon mixed with a little Kaientai. In the match, if VKM tried to shoot wrestle, I doubt they could still outwrestle HHH, but if they could, it's just a hop/skip/jump from the backstage to the ring for somebody like Cena or Carlito to step in. Faces have cheated against heels before, and with a little convincing from the announcers, DX would still come out looking squeeky clean. In the end, the more VKM would be their typical assinine selves, the more like the Outsiders they'd look like. It'd be a great thing for the WWE.

Caged Heat18 12-11-2006 12:06 PM

VKM just gets more and more ridiculous by the week. They should be feuding with young tag teams in TNA and putting them over to help establish new teams. Instead of feuding with a tag team in another fed who they are never going to fight. It is such a waste of time and they need to take their own advice and just stop.

PullMyFinger 12-11-2006 12:22 PM

At first VKM were funny, but now they're flat out annoying.

But then again, I think Alienoid may hold a pt...I think the casual find who hears about this might tune into TNA more and more....when compared to people like us who have known about TNA for a while now.

addy2hotty 12-11-2006 12:27 PM

VKM strike me as the a-typical 'woman scorned' who will do anything to get their ex's attention. Then when the ex ignores them, the woman runs off to her friends and they all discuss what a 'bastard' he is. Then again, I wouldn't mind an ex throwing a mil my way to get my attention.

The newsreader skits were quite funny, this is borderline insanity. I love the way they are ignoring it on WWE programming though.

Batsu 12-11-2006 12:38 PM

TNA needs to forget the other guys exist.

Stickman 12-11-2006 01:45 PM

By the way, wtf is a Voodoo Kin Mafia? I know VKM is a shot at Vince, but is Voodoo Kin Mafia just three words thrown together or is there a reference?

If you haven't seen this shitfest yet...

D Mac 12-12-2006 02:50 AM

I guess Vince will just have to buy them out.

weather vane 12-12-2006 04:38 AM

aahah I love this

you guys take it WAYYYYYYYYY too seriously

jcmoorehead 12-12-2006 08:44 AM

So regarding VKMs words, has Vince and WWE actually done/said anything regarding their parodies/skits or are TNA and VKM pulling this out of their asses to get attention?

MLW 12-12-2006 08:50 AM

He is saying they want a real fight??? Well if vince was going to actually listen to those loosers he could just send like Batista and Lashley and have them rip the heads of those loosers...

Impact! 12-12-2006 08:59 AM

Are you an idiot, or do you just not listen?

What Would Kevin Do? 12-12-2006 09:04 AM

That's incredibly lame.

LK 12-12-2006 09:07 AM

I think West sums it up well at one point - "this is bad"

Love that stuff about never backing either of them considering the fact that both won more titles and were involved in significantly bigger angles when they were in WWE compared to the shit they do in TNA, eg what we just watched.

Xero 12-12-2006 09:24 AM

Is the Irony of that supposed to be that adding these horrid parodies to their own shows is making them look shittier than the guys they're "at war" with?

Disturbed316 12-12-2006 09:31 AM

Its pointless stuff like this that keeps me from watching TNA, so fucking pathetic.

Disturbed316 12-12-2006 09:34 AM

Also, the parodies are at least 2 months out of date, queers.

BloodRiotZero 12-12-2006 11:49 AM

Sooo what is exactly wrong with this segment? It was entertaining, it was a parody of what the competition is doing (competition that obviously IS the measuring bar in North America), the crowd was into it, it advanced what VKM was doing... I saw nothing wrong with this segment whatsoever. Some of you people complain over anything.

VKM has been some of the most entertaining TV on wrestling in the past few weeks. Hell, w/o a doubt TNA has been the best sports-entertainment on TV for the past few weeks/couple of months. ECW sucks, RAW and SmackDown BLOW.

Volare 12-12-2006 11:57 AM

Any TNA crowd gets excited by anything...that's why it looks lame as shit.
