Two in one thread (Wii's Virtual Console:)

If you delete a game you've downloaded off the Virtual Console could you download it again for free, or would you have to pay again?

Also what games do you have on the Wii's virtual console? So far I have the following:

Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr. (:heart: )
Wario's Woods (meh-ish)
Eco the Dolphin (:heart: )
Bomber Man (best game ever)

I still have 1100 points. Gonna wait until tommorow and see what comes out but I think I'll get Sim City next. Dunno might just hold on to them until something else comes out.

G 12-17-2006 05:52 PM

how many points per game, and what is the dollar conversion. like most arcade game on the 360 are 800 points, which = $10.

Destor 12-17-2006 05:55 PM

100=1$. The least you can but is 1000 points(10$.)

NES=500
SNES=800
SEGA=800
TURBO GRAFX 16=600
N64=1000

I don't have an Virtual console games yet. I'm being smart and getting only the awesomest ones. Bomberman is sounding pretty tempting. Sim City too.

Aso for your question, I'm pretty sure you can redownload it for free. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm almost certain you can.

Destor 12-17-2006 07:24 PM

It seems like you can. When you go into account history you can check in on the titles you've purchased. And it says download underneath them (not purchase.) But I wnated something concrete before I did anything.

As for my title selections I have only perchased games I love/d. With the exception of Wario's Woods. I took a gamble, and it was a near bust. Definatly wont be taking any more risks with out reading up on them in the fututre.

I'm cracking about 8000 Nes Roms. About 700 SNES Roms, about 1600 Arcade Roms, and about 1000 Amiga Roms.
Lower numbers on the Sega roms.

Virtual Console? Who needs em when you've got a PC with an Xbox 360 Controller!

G 12-17-2006 08:13 PM

can you at least do online play on the Wii like you can do on some of the arcade games on the 360?

I like giving my money to Nintendo. (As well as anything else I support.) Money is what will keep 'em around.

Bad Company 12-17-2006 09:13 PM

Good point. Poor Sega :(

Destor 12-17-2006 09:24 PM

(If I listened to music I would.)

Destor 12-17-2006 09:25 PM

As long as I thought the band deserved it anyway...

Kapoutman 12-18-2006 12:25 AM

I have Sim City and F-Zero. I will download Bomberman to play multiplayer once my brother and I get past our Lego Star Wars phase.

Mike the Metal Ed 12-26-2006 05:33 PM

The Legend of Zelda and Solomon's Key. I'll probably get some more points before my temp job at HMV expires. 30% discount rules.

Destor 12-26-2006 05:35 PM

So can anyone confirm thaty I can delete my downloads and re-download them free of charge?

Destor 12-27-2006 01:39 AM

Anybody?

FakeLaser 12-27-2006 02:29 AM

I was consideirng getting Ice Hockey or Super Mario 64, but I don't know, nothing has appealed to me enough.

Actually, probably gonna get Sonic and Zelda for NES.

Dave Youell 12-27-2006 06:42 AM

So with tyhe downloaded games, can you just use the Wiimote, or do you need to buy that classic one?

Destor 12-27-2006 06:44 AM

A combination of the Wiimote or the Gamecube controller will work on all games. Without the Gamecube controller though you will need the classic controller.

Dave Youell 12-27-2006 06:49 AM

Ok, I got a cube so i'm fine.

Is goldeneye out yet?

Destor 12-27-2006 06:51 AM

Sorry, no. Only N64 game out atm is Mario 64. I haven't checked this week though. (New games come out on Monday until the first, after that 10 games will be released on the first of each month.)

G 12-28-2006 06:17 PM

so how much memory do these games take up?

tell me they at least did away with blocks, and are using actual usage.

G 12-28-2006 06:19 PM

also, how big sd cards are you people working with. i got a 1gb and a couple of 512mb from my kodak dig camera days that i'm using. so happy that they are using them instead of their own memory cards GO TO HELL SONY AND MICROSOFT
