Do you guys think he should finally drop the gimmick? From what i've seen lately it looks like in backstage promos he seems to be talking like his old self. He had a good run as Champ and I wonder if it he's close to retiring. If he is, what do you think he'll be doing next?

I think there are still feet for this gimmick to walk on. I mean, the Royal Rumble is coming up, and he will be a major player in that (maybe even making the Final Four), and his logical feud with Finlay on SmackDown! should be good.

He hasn't taken the gimmick into a WrestleMania yet, so that is something to look forward to. I have no clue what he'll get up to at Mania, but I honestly see him losing. No major harm done.

Post-Mania 22, I see him trying to be the first repeat King of the Ring winner in history (the WWE doesn't count Bret Hart). Actually, I can see him succeeding, just to give the gimmick more steam, and Booker more heat. I can very easily see him losing to a babyface, though, and then feuding with him heading into The Great American Bash, doing the job before the babyface challenges a top heel (Batista?) for the World Heavyweight Championship at Summerslam.

Then it might be time to take the character to RAW, turn it face, or drop it in its entirety. That takes you around seven months into 2007, though.

I like the gimmick but its not the same when he's not the champ imo. Batista should not be champion yet, should've waited until RR.

I still love King Booker and the gimmick.

King Booker cracks me up. His accent is fucking rofl. One of the only reasons to watch smackdown. Sharmell is still shit though.

I'm loving Booker right now, including his gimmick. I want him to keep it.

Post King of the Ring gimmicks worked well for a number of people. Booker seems to be doing well with this. But maybe hang on to it as far as the Rumble, then dump it soon after.

I like Alienoid's idea as always. I didn't like the gimmick until I saw it in action, booker delivers so well sometimes. I think they need to make it clear it's an act more. Cosistently put in a little part in each spot where he breaks with the accent and says something stereotypically "Booker T".

He'll probaly keep on being a trainer at his wrestling school.

Well now that hes dropped the title he's gonna get buried anyways. So take your pick, would how would you rather see him jobbed out?

I personally don't like the gimmick though it has made me 'lol' a few times but I hope he droips it. It's just one of those gimmicks that to me get old fast.

There was a good thing going with Booker T as the champ on Smackdown. Dropping the belt to Batista is a good example of how you can fuck up chemistry by having a face champion that is limited.
