Arcade Roms List

The list is located at..

http://www.sparkvolt.com/emulashun/

I've posted a few roms there already that were heavily asked for in the other topic.

Post any requests here (remember they should be older games. From the 1990's and below) and I will try to find them and upload them.

I love you

G 02-15-2004 09:09 PM

The downloads keep stopping. Which site did you get them from? I'll just go there and try. :o

Silent 02-15-2004 09:23 PM

They are from http://www.edgeemu.com but you have to donate money to download arcade ROMs. That's why I hosted them myself.

DS 02-15-2004 09:26 PM

Worked fine for me. Then again, I'm not a 56.

G 02-15-2004 09:27 PM

Fuc</>k.

I'll give it another go I guess. :-\

Vega 02-15-2004 09:43 PM

You are the MAN, just downloaded them all except SF1.

rep 4 you

G 02-15-2004 10:02 PM

WTF, i'm not getting this at all.

First, the MAME version I got sends my to dos, and brings up a .txt document. Do I have the right version? What am I doing wrong?

Also, when I download the .zip files, it's a bunch of .bin files. What do I do with these? Just extract them to the roms folder?

This thing is fu</>cking confusing.

Vega 02-15-2004 10:02 PM

-edit- nm figured it out

DS 02-15-2004 10:04 PM

You put the .zips in the folder it will extract them itself but getting it to run is a different story because I haven't a clue how to.

G 02-15-2004 10:30 PM

k, got it to work now. :D

G 02-15-2004 10:32 PM

I think it's called "Aero Fighters" or something like that. Can you get that?

Vega 02-15-2004 10:45 PM

I got it to work. You have to put the .zip files in the roms folder, dont extract them, The you have to go to the dos prompt to run it.

Vega 02-15-2004 10:47 PM

as for requests...I dunno, put some of your favorites up.

Vega 02-16-2004 02:55 AM

the area51 one wont work for me, will it for anyone else?

Already beat simpsons, tmnt, and xmen

G 02-16-2004 09:41 AM

Damn, they must be shorter then I remember. :-\

DS 02-16-2004 10:46 AM

Area 51 doesn't work.

MrMeJW 02-16-2004 10:50 AM

I'll try Area 51 on mine right now...

MrMeJW 02-16-2004 10:51 AM

yeah it says its missing "area51.chd" and cannot run

Bo 02-16-2004 12:05 PM

hey where is the emulatior to run these.

DS 02-16-2004 01:31 PM

mame.net

Go to downloads and then older versions. Get the first one on the very bottom and extract it to C:\ and then from there put your roms in the rom subfolder. Then go to start > run > cmd

In the box type in cd c:\mame

it should read C:\MAME>

Then type in mame (name of game) and it will load.

Vega 02-16-2004 05:42 PM

also, theres no hit detection for mortal kombat. :(

G 02-16-2004 08:42 PM

Yeah WTF @ Mortal Kombat. I was ready to rip some heads off.

Silent 02-16-2004 09:44 PM

It's just as bad as it was back then. Nah, but it works perfect for me.

I dunno why Area51 won't work..sorry.

Vega 02-16-2004 11:22 PM

G 02-16-2004 11:33 PM

Does anyone remember the game called NARC I think it was. Basically you were a marine type character and walked around shooting people and blowing shit up. Anyone know where I can find it? :?:

G 02-16-2004 11:36 PM

Nevermind. Went and looked it up, and it's not it. I could have sworn it has 4 letters in the title, and it might start with a M. :-\

G 02-16-2004 11:38 PM

There is also a .zip you must download and unzip in the mame directory, which contains a bin folder and a manifest folder.

Do you have those two folders in your mame directory?

Disturbed316 02-17-2004 05:59 PM

wtf no!

Disturbed316 02-17-2004 05:59 PM

G 02-17-2004 06:06 PM

Well that's your problem then. The needed .zip file with those two folders.

Disturbed316 02-17-2004 06:10 PM

G 02-17-2004 06:13 PM
