The Sixth Sense

Just seen a commercial for it, it's going to be on regular TV sometime next month. It got me thinking, that might have been one of the best movies I'd ever seen. Agree?

Triple A 02-15-2004 11:42 PM

I only saw it once at my job, while being distracted. I remember losing interest. I dunno. I gotta try again I guess.

I really love this movie. I think that M. Night Shyamalan is a good director.

I'm not too big on watching movies more than once, but this is one I would. That's about as big a positive review that you can get from me.

The 6th sense was crap. It's one of those movies where they hand feed you crap for an hour and a half, then throw in a shock ending and make the audience think they saw a good movie. M Night Shamalamawhatever is horrible at what he does, he's been given way too much credit.

Maybe the movie was spoiled for me because everybody hyped up this "huge surprise ending" for weeks before I saw it. Just from the way they all talked about it I had the ending figured out before I even stepped foot in the theatre. That kinda kills the whole thing.

i enjoyed it, so much so that i did see it a second time. for me it seemed that they distracted me enough through the movie so that the ending didn't occur to me sooner which allowed me to enjoy it. also with the way it ended it's kind of neat to see it again and watch it from a different perspective and whether or not everything jives together having known the outcome. btw i saw it when it first came out and without experienceing the hype or buzz around it.

Clerks sucked

why does everyone overate it?

Dazz 02-17-2004 01:30 PM

Yeah I really liked the movie, I nearly bought it on DVD, but didn't because I only really like the beginning and ending.

Shaggy 02-18-2004 06:57 PM

I thought it was a good movie. I remember that when it ended it made me want to go back through it and watch it again and look for the signs that he was dead and how he never really interacted with anything besides the kid.

El Capitano Gatisto 02-22-2004 12:12 PM

It isn't very good. I liked Signs better.

When everyone started talking about the stupid twist, I could see it coming a mile off, which might have ruined it, but I doubt it.

I made my dad sit through Sixth Sense and he didn't like it. Might be because he's religious and stuff.
