The Best Intercontinental Champion of All Time?

Who is in your opinion the BEST Intercontinental Champion in WWF/WWE History ever?

DaveWadding 02-16-2004 02:24 AM

The Honky Tonk Man! Don't you know ANYTHING?

BabyHugger 02-16-2004 02:39 AM

Bret Hart of course.

Sephiroth 02-16-2004 03:27 AM

Fox 02-16-2004 03:53 AM

CBright7831 02-16-2004 04:34 AM

I can't believe you forgot the Honky Tonk Man, the longest reigning IC champ of all time.

Mr. Nerfect 02-16-2004 05:45 AM

Honky Tonk Man! If not, Chris Benoit.

Paranoid Rattlesnake 02-16-2004 06:13 AM

Blue Demon 02-16-2004 10:14 AM

Loose Cannon 02-16-2004 11:25 AM

You have to go with Perfect. When someone says I.C. Title to me, Perfect is the first person I think of all the time. Perfect really establshed that title in the late 80's early-early 90's and it was great on him. Maybe it's because he never won the World Title, but I think Perfect is definately the greatest I.C. champ of all-time.

Its a tough call.

Bret had some great matches with the belt, as did Hennig, Bulldog sold out Wembley going after the IC title, Rock and Austin did well with the belt. Then there are the older guys like Tito and Valentine that were great champs as well.

For me its a toss up between Savage and HBK. HBK gets some extra credit for doing the Ladder Matches with Hall, which really made the title seem important, but then Savage had great matches and also got to main event with the IC title against Hogan on many occasions. Then again, HBK also did that with Bret on a PPV, so its a tough call.

Can I call it a tie?

Of course Honytonk Man is really the 'greatest IC champ of all time', but I figured everyone already knew that, so I'd go with someone else.

well if not him then, Pat Patterson . :D

Jeff Jarrett, "The greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time!"

Yeah, I know he stole that from the Honky Tonk Man, but the only time I've seen HTM wrestle is the 2001 Royal Rumble. And when you say IC Champ, i always think Jeff, then Owen, then The Rock.

Razor Rybek 02-16-2004 02:47 PM

I went for Mr Perfect because i feel Bret was a better Heavyweight Champ than IC champ, although Bret was class in both title reigns.

R.I.P Curt Henning :'(

Razor Rybek 02-16-2004 02:50 PM

Saying that, Wheres Tito Santana? Had he been an option, i would of had a selection problem!

Gertner 02-16-2004 02:50 PM

where's A-Train. he gets my vote

MVP 02-16-2004 05:01 PM

This should've been made for one choice only.

Since it wasn't, it was a 3-way tie between Bret Hart, Razor Ramon, and Chris Benoit.

Boondock Saint 02-16-2004 06:36 PM

godfather.....:shifty:

Mr. JL 02-16-2004 06:47 PM

Corkscrewed 02-17-2004 12:08 AM

Honky Tonk Man was the first name that popped into my head before I even clicked this topic...

The One 02-17-2004 12:12 AM

How did Kurt Angle get 7 votes? He held the IC title for an unimpressive 1 month, and he did nothing to build the credability of the title, unifying it with the Euro title built him up, not built the title up.

The Tool 02-18-2004 02:21 AM

Shake Rattle n'Roll, The Honky Tonk Man. How could you not include him in your poll?

thuganomicalcrippler 02-24-2004 11:26 AM

BENOIT BENOIT BENOIT

(But I don't know anything, I'm the biggest mark there was, the biggest there is and the smallest there ever will be)

SuperSlim 02-24-2004 12:47 PM
