Right...any ideas on how to make this video work?

K, so I downloaded this "movie" via torrent, right. And had to extract it from a rar file, right.

So now when I play it in WMP, the sound track works but the video doesn't. It says 'missing codec' and takes me to a Div3 codec page, but I can only download a DivX codec, which I'm sure does the same job. That equally don't work. It also doesn't work in VLC, which ultra surprises me as everything works in VLC.

So, anyone with any ideas on how to make it run, and/or a div3 codec will be showered with rep.

yeah I used to have the same problem. All your missing is a few codecs, the same thing happend to me when I opened .avi files. If you download the k-lite codec pack you will have no trouble :)

Better yet, download VLC Media Player. It will play your movies without having to download codecs.

So, you are saying you have the DivX codec? Did you get it along with the DivX Player? I've had a couple things that only played in that player, despite the fact that the codec was intalled in my other video applications as well.
